A LANG ET HEYNE watch is always a bit of magic. With the newest addition to the family the „magicians" of the fine manufacture from Dresden once again lived up to their reputation. The idea had to wait for a long time, but finally it is realized in 2018!

Since more than 200 years the Tourbillon has served as a symbol for masterly performance in horology. During the first half of the 20th century the interpretation by the Saxon School of watchmaking with „flying" carrousel mounted on one side, brought it to maturity.

LANG & HEYNE follows this tradition with a Tourbillon - lightweight and elegant due to a delicately built cage. The fineness and lightness of the Tourbillon cage reduce the additional power demand as well as shock sensitivity of the mechanism to a minimum.

ANTON, as second rectangular watch of LANG & HEYNE, represents in a way the brother of model GEORG with its spectacular bar-movement, which had been successfully launched in 2017. The proportions of the rectangular case with huge second cutout cries out for opening the enamel dial to reveal the delicate Tourbillon cage.

The sparkling diamond endstone crowning the remaining Calibers is continued with two chatoned diamonds next to the logo engraving - virtually as double coronation for the new masterpiece of the LANG & HEYNE watchmakers.

Not only this quite contemporary extravagance makes him a personality with edges and corners - thus an ideal namesake for the first form watch of the manufacture LANG & HEYNE.

As LANG & HEYNE feels connected to Saxon watchmaking and heritage every watch model is named after a prominent ruler of Saxony.
King ANTON (*27.12.1755 ‘♰' 6.6.1836) as fifth-born, who was passionate about music and genealogie, was not destined to govern. In fact he wanted to become a clergyman, but eventually took over the throne of his deceased brother as a middle-aged man.

During difficult revolutionary times around 1830 in Saxony he acted with cautiousness, tolerance and understanding. Thus the people called him „the Kind".
