A new chapter in the story of one of the most emblematic creation of Cyrus Genève is being unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2026, where the brand invites collectors to explore the new Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon Jasper.

Produced in an ultra-limited edition of just five pieces, this exceptional timepiece elevates the Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon to new artistic heights where mechanical daring meets sculptural architecture and the timeless allure of natural stone. Conceived as a refined expression of contemporary Haute Horlogerie, it reaffirms the Manufacture’s commitment to innovation, architectural design and mechanical excellence, where art and technology converge seamlessly.
A revamped case, a refined presence
Grade 5 titanium, chosen for its lightness, strength and modern aesthetic, and widely used across many of the Maison’s collections, was first introduced into the Klepcys collection with the launch of the first Vertical Tourbillon model in 2018. This was crafted in three different excecutions, one of which featured a black DLC-coated titanium case. Now, in 2026, this material houses all the components of this latest captivating creation: the new Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon Jasper, presented in this alloy (composed of 90% titanium, 6% aluminium and 4% vanadium) in its natural color.

The case retains its distinctive cushion shape and signature twin crowns — positioned at 3 o’clock for winding and time-setting and at 9 o’clock for rapid hour adjustment — while its diameter has been refined from 44 mm to 42.5 mm to improve comfort on the wrist without compromising the collection’s distinctive character.
Its substantial 19.9 mm thickness stems from the spectacular arched central bridge, vertically positioned at the center of the dial, which frames the tourbillon — a bold architectural feature that amplifies the watch’s mechanical depth. This striking construction is shielded by an anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal, almost imperceptible to the eye.

Water-resistant to 5 atm, the case features alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces that accentuate its sculptural style and highlight the complexity of its construction. The sapphire crystal porthole, secured to the case back with customised screws bearing the Maison’s logo, allows the finely finished movement to be admired.
The Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon Jasper is completed by a black alligator leather strap fastened with a titanium folding clasp adorned with the Cyrus symbol.
A sculptural skeleton dial build around the Vertical Tourbillon
At the heart of the dial lies the very soul of this collection: the vertical tourbillon cage, which sits at the centre and is angled at 90 degrees.
This unconventional configuration, conceived and developed by our master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon, challenges traditional watchmaking codes that place the tourbillon horizontally at 6 o’clock. Extensive technical studies have demonstrated that this vertical orientation allows the regulating organ to remain in a vertical position for most of the time on the wrist, improving chronometric performance by counteracting the effects of gravity more effectively.

The tourbillon cage performs one full rotation every minute and simultaneously serves as a visual and functional focal point, displaying the passing seconds through small square markers arranged on a five-second scale.

The dial architecture is defined by the imposing, rhodium-plated, arched bridge with bevelled and polished edges, finished to the highest standard. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s self-supporting bridge, this element is not merely decorative: it structures the entire display, frames the tourbillon cage and reinforces the perfect symmetry of the design.

This sculptural bridge adds further depth to the dial, which is already accentuated by the captivating view of the mechanism's components dancing in motion. Moreover, it establishes the nature of the watch's functions, which, given the division of the dial into two segments, are necessarily retrograde.
Jasper stone shapes retrograde time
Time is displayed via retrograde functions, arranged symmetrically on either side of the central axis.
The bridges, symmetrical and sculpted in an inverted “V” shape, stand out against the skeletonised display with their matte black microbeaded finish, while their bevelled and polished edges capture the light with refined intensity. They engage in a natural dialogue with the semi-arches of the sweeping retrograde minutes on the right and the jumping retrograde hours on the left, both sharing the same finish.

Adorned with jasper inserts and framed by a gleaming rhodium-plated outline, they are marked by matte white Arabic numerals. Jasper is a microcrystalline variety of quartz, appreciated since antiquity for its rich, organic patterns and deep, earthy tones. Each stone reveals unique patterns and tonal variations, making every display a singular cration.

The same spirit animates the new Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon Jasper: a timepiece born from the bold vision of the Cyrus technical team, which has successfully reinterpreted the codes of fine watchmaking, pushing beyond its boundaries both mechanically and aesthetically. A 5 mm sphere with a black microbeaded finish at the 12 o'clock position, indicating a 4-day power reserve, completes this timepiece's functions. Visually, the power reserve is symmetrical to the brand logo, which is positioned at 6 o'clock.
An exceptional in-house movement
Powering the Klepcys Vertical Tourbillon Jasper is the manufacture calibre CYR625, entirely developed and produced in-house under the direction of master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon, equipped with the prestigious tourbillon complication.

Comprising 344 components, this hand-wound movement features a variable-inertia balance beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), 51 jewels to minimise friction, and a double barrel delivering a power reserve of over 100 hours.
The 52-component tourbillon cage, visible from both the dial and the case back and completing one full rotation in one minute, is positioned on a vertical axis at a 90° angle. This precise inclination—born of meticulous research—ensure optimal chronometric performance, as the tourbillon cage remains vertical regardless of the watch’s position.

Faithful to the great tradition of fine watchmaking, the movement stands out for its impeccable finishing. The chamfered bridges are enhanced by an engraved, curved sunburst motif with brushed and polished surfaces, while the bespoke screws are mirror-polished. The matte black lacquered ratchet wheels, adorned with the Cyrus propeller logo, add a distinctive touch of character to the composition.
