The watch “Levels” gets its name from the different levels of the dial. One level stands for your home time while the next level shows you the local time of the place wherever you are at the moment. On the third level the “Alexander Shorokhoff”-logo is placed and the fourth level shows the limitation number of the watch. All levels are of different height.

The most important and highest level is placed above the calendar window. There, at an elevated “bridge” a magnifying glass is positioned in a creative and innovative way in order to enlarge the visibility of the relative small date display of the refined ETA-movement cal. 2671. In this arrangement the magnifying glass resembles a monocle and underlines the creativity of Alexander Shorokhov, who is breaking with the practice to built-in the magnifying glass directly into the sapphire front glass.

The complete rose gold-plated “skyscraper” construction is built on a guilloched “basement“ in petrol-blue or silver colour, creating contrasts and harmony at the same time. The colours have been selected perfectly. However, for an avant-garde artist it would be too simple and unimaginative to leave it like that.

Alexander Shorokhov is looking to add something extraordinary in order to give the watch an inimitable characteristic. By applying a coloured stripe of indefinite form the artist succeeded in keeping the perfect arrangement and, at the same time, to impart the watch the unmistakable “Alexander Shorokhoff-design”.

For many years the Alexander Shorokhoff watch manufactory is developing and producing watch lines in strictly limited editions as well as extraordinary unique watches. The special feature of these watches is not only their fantastic inimitable design but also the hand engravings and skeletonized movements and dials.

The highest level, without a doubt is the development and production of skeletonized watches with individual initials. The AS manufactory has the opportunity to implement customers individual and unique design wishes. The customer can choose the style of the letters the manner of the engravings and the extent of skeletonizing and refining of the dial and watch movement. But it doesn’t stop there – Furthermore the material for the case and the leather strap or bracelet can be selected as well. At all steps a member of the highly qualified team will advise and assist the client.

After selecting all components for a personal “Watch with initials“, the production can be started. No matter if skeletonizing, guilloching or engraving - all this work on the movement and dial requires a great deal of time, precision and concentration. It takes many hours, sometimes even days for the engravers to unveil the soul of the metal and to create an exclusive and unique engraving pattern.

After the engraving and the refining process of the rhodium, gold or other plating, the watch is ready to be assembled. More than 100 small parts have to be put in place, a job that cannot be done without love and precision the main elements to create a handmade manufacturer-movement. The love to detail, the excellent hand engraving, the special skill of the watchmakers and you imagination will shape a movements of esthetical beauty. Some of the parts as cases, straps or hands are purchased from well-known suppliers.

One watch one watchmaker: This means that one watch maker is dedicated and responsible for the unique timepiece from start to finish. After a trial run the watchmaker signs the warranty certificate.

This watch cannot only measure time, it tells a story. A story about imagination, passion, love and art. A beautiful timekeeper that will last for many generations.
