Nothing is too much when it comes to pampering those we cherish. For Vacheron Constantin, such is the case for Chinese connoisseurs with whom the oldest Manufacture in uninterrupted activity for more than 260 years nurtures a very special relationship. It was after the Treaty of Nanking in 1842 that the Maison began receiving extremely positive signals from China. The Manufacture was already known for the creation of "Chinese" watches, richly decorated and available in pairs, which were both reliable and accurate because they were designed to withstand humid climates. It therefore increased trade with a country capable of appreciating the quality of its timepieces, its technical heritage and its mastery of ornamentation.

The new Traditionnelle Quartz timepiece is perfectly in tune with this spirit, faithful to the origins of Vacheron Constantin and designed for Chinese women enamoured of beautifully crafted watches that are both understated and distinguished. Issued in a 50-piece limited series, it asserts its style in subtle shades of blue: from the dainty powder blue of its mother-of-pearl dial to the light blue of its Mississippiensis alligator leather strap with 18K 5N pink gold buckle.

By contrast, the 64 round-cut diamonds (approx. 0.32 ct) finely set on the bezel make the 18K 5N pink gold case the guardian of a fleeting and wonderful vision of time. Water-resistant to 30 metres with a solid gold caseback, this Traditionnelle Quartz watch is equipped with a quartz hours and minutes movement delivering precision and reliability in all circumstances.
