Mühle-Glashütte – Teutonia II Weltzeit GMT Automatic Steel 41mm
Sophisticated Slow Travel with the Teutonia II Weltzeit
Nowadays, a single orbit around the globe can take as little as 92 minutes. Travellers who would rather sit back and enjoy a less hectic ride with all the more style and elegance are sure to love the Teutonia II Weltzeit.
The Teutonia II Weltzeit is a watch for true connoisseurs! When George Francis Train travelled around the world in 80 days back in 1870, he became a major sensation, so much so that he was the inspiration behind Jules Verne’s famous novel. The same impressive journey can now be completed by an aeroplane in just a few hours and by the International Space Station in a speedy time of just 92 minutes.
Nowadays, people always seem to be living life in the fast lane. Our Teutonia II Weltzeit, on the other hand, is the ideal stylish companion for wearers with a more relaxed approach to life, those who take time to get to know their destination, its people and its culture when travelling. It not only shows them the time in both their current location and a second time zone but also features a bidirectional bezel marked with the names of cities that can be used to determine the time in 24 different time zones all over the globe.
The ‘city ring’, which is positioned on the outer edge of the face, provides not one, but two impressive functions: Together with the gold-plated index at the 9 o'clock position, it reminds wearers of the zone time the watch is currently set to display when the city name for this time zone is synchronised with the index. On top of this, the ring can also be used to view the time in an impressive 24 time zones worldwide when used in combination with the watch's inner 24-hour scale and GMT hand. If the GMT hand is showing the time in Mühle’s home town of Glashütte, for example, wearers can simply rotate the bezel until the name of the town is in the same position as the GMT hand, thus enabling them to read the time (in full hours) in this and all other time zones on the inner 24-hour scale.

The Teutonia II Weltzeit features a stunning midnight blue face that makes reading the time in any zone a particu. The watch’s stunning centrepiece is perfectly complemented by its high-quality stainless steel case. The middle of the case not only features Mühle’s characteristic vertical finish carefully applied by hand but also a typical feature of the Teutonia family in the form of scrolled lugs, the top surface of which is finely polished just like the bezel. This carefully considered design allows the abundance of details in the face to continue into the watch’s case, thus resulting in an impressive overall appearance that shows just how much love, care and attention to details went into Mühle-Glashütte’s Teutonia II Weltzeit, from the development phase right through to the final production.larly sophisticated experience and when it comes to style and elegance, the fine sunray finish in the middle of the face is the icing on top of the cake. As the light falls on the watch, this attractive finish reflects it in different directions, thus giving the face a unique dynamic appearance. Unpolished surfaces and the lower area that is home to the Teutonia’s hand-applied indices, which are bevelled on the side, help to give the face a clear layout so that each of its different time measurements stands out and is easy to read.
