In 2015, Vulcain concentrated on the graphic development of its main collections, offering a number of redesigned manufacture models. This year, the Le Locle-based brand has chosen to focus more deeply on something at core of its identity: the Cricket calibre.

In parallel with its new manufacture movement, the V-40, the Vulcain Watch Manufacture is unveiling several models inspired by its history and flagship collections.
THE VULCAIN CRICKET CALIBRE EVOLVES TO FEATURE A NEW DESIGN
Vulcain has left its mark on the history of alarm watches. In 1947, the brand unveiled the Cricket alarm calibre, a movement innovative enough to be featured in several Vulcain wristwatches, and which quickly found its place in the history of Haute Horlogerie.

Remaining faithful to its history, the Le Locle-based Manufacture has added a new model to its “Métier d’Art” collection which celebrates the age-old specialist art of cloisonné enamel. This difficult technique, which requires patience and attention to detail, brings exceptional precision to the design, as well as unique and long-lasting colour rendering.

Following on from “Le Vulcain” in 2015, the Manufacture is once again taking its inspiration from a Greek god: Poseidon. God of the seas and oceans, he is instantly recognisable by the trident he holds in one hand.
