U-BOAT –  PHOENIX Chrono Limited Edition NEW

Italian watch brand U-BOAT unveils PHOENIX, a fine jewellery watch created by Italo Fontana, who is a passionate innovator and is not influenced by the market trends. Last year, presenting the FLIGHTDECK 925 ELEM transformed a watch, reminiscent of the altimeter devices that were used in the 1920’s aircraft, into a jewellery masterpiece.

At Baselworld 2014, Italo Fontana has created another masterpiece: the PHOENIX classico chrono. A great example of design purity with a strong timeless and recognizable identity, that evolves into a fine jewellery watch.

The sterling silver case, re-crafted by hand using traditional artisanal techniques, received martellée finishing, and then was partially drilled, in order to create small cracks in the sterling silver 925 material. Furthermore all these small cracks have been patiently filled by Italian craftsmen with 180 black diamonds.

The strap, a great example of fine Italian handiwork, boasts exclusive symbols in silver and precious stones crafted into it. This precious 48 case along with impressive dial, sapphire glass and strap turns this classic watch into a brand new jewellery masterpiece with full U-BOAT identity.
