Where Haute Horlogerie meets
high-performance engineering

The Laureato Skeleton Aston Martin Edition celebrates the dialogue between power and precision. Sculpted from black ceramic, its case reveals a dramatic openworked movement, where each bridge, edge, and hand-finished surface reflects a mastery of craft. This mechanical choreography — both exacting and elegant — mirrors the sculptural lines and technical sophistication of Aston Martin’s finest creations.

Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux are instantly recognizable in their respective universes. What makes both brands so unique is their pure elegance, sportiness, and design codes that remain consistent over time”, said Mr. Marc Michel-Amadry, Managing Director at Girard-Perregaux.

Mr. Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin, added: “The challenge is always to maintain the excellence that we have always had in terms of proportion, performance and that recognisable, very distinctive image and language”.

RECOGNIZABLE ABOVE ALL

These words are not just personal statements — they embody Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin’s design philosophy. The brand’s supercars are indeed instantly recognizable thanks to their design, which undeniably reflects a keen sense of lines and proportions— an acute ability to perceive and harmonize shapes, contours, and spatial balance, ensuring that every element contributes to a visually striking and perfectly proportioned silhouette.

Hours and minutes are indicated by skeletonised hands and suspended indexes, all finished in a captivating green coating reminiscent of Aston Martin’s iconic Racing Green, that bestows a green emission in dim light conditions. This timepiece also features a small skeletonised seconds hand, discreetly positioned at 10 o’clock. Everything is therefore carefully considered to ensure peerless readability while simultaneously maximising the transparency of the movement.

UNCOMPROMISING VIEW ON EXPERTISE

Unlike traditional timepieces with closed dials, this skeletonised model offers unrestricted views of its inner workings, revealing the openworked GP01800 calibre in all its complexity.

Through its sapphire crystal and caseback, the wearer can admire components usually hidden from sight: the mainspring in various states of tension, the oscillating balance wheel, the beating hairspring, and the pallet lever engaging with the escape wheel all animate the watch with a captivating mechanical rhythm, while the caseback is adorned with a metallised Aston Martin logo. Every design element has been thoughtfully considered to deliver a compelling and dynamic visual performance.

The in-house GP01800 calibre builds on over 230 years of watchmaking expertise. Indeed, it showcases 55 hand-crafted internal angles — a mark of true watchmaking artistry — and features a black PVD-treated mainplate and bridges, adorned with four refined finishing techniques: bevelling, sandblasting, traits-tirés, and circular satin, all executed by hand. The skeletonised solid gold rotor, executed in the same Aston Martin Racing Green–inspired shade, echoes the tone of the hands, allowing light to flood the openworked calibre, highlighting its architectural depth.

Equipped with a variable inertia balance — a superior regulation system — the movement ensures enhanced shock resistance, long-term reliability, and improved chronometric precision. With a 54-hour power reserve, the watch continues to perform even off the wrist. More than a watch, it is a refined fusion of high horology and high performance — a testament to precision, aesthetics, and innovation.

The Laureato Skeleton Aston Martin Edition, limited to 88 pieces, is now available worldwide at all Girard-Perregaux retailers.
