A. Lange & Sohne – LANGE CABARET TOURBILLON HONEYGOLD® Edition

A. Lange & SohneCABARET TOURBILLON HONEYGOLD® Edition 2026

Perfectly formed in honey gold

With the CABARET TOURBILLON HONEYGOLD, A. Lange & Söhne presents a new version of its distinctive, rectangular timepiece, limited to 50 pieces: its case and dial are crafted from 750 honey gold (HONEYGOLD®).

The high-precision relief elements on the dial prominently stand out against the black-rhodiumed background, thus providing the timepiece, equipped with a stop-seconds device for the tourbillon, with an artistic three-dimensional effect.

In the new model, a case and dial in 750 honey gold play a starring role. This rare combination of Lange’s exclusive material accounts for the timepiece’s particularly noble personality. Its warm-hued lustre contrasts crisply with the black-rhodiumed dial where relief elements can be admired. An aperture at 6 o’clock draws attention to the tourbillon with stop seconds. The upper tourbillon bridge and the top side of the cage are adorned with an elaborate black polish.

Honey-gold dial manufactured in-house

The black-rhodiumed, honey-gold dial of the CABARET TOURBILLON HONEYGOLD is entirely crafted in the manufacture. It consists of three parts: the main dial as well as two auxiliary dials for the subsidiary seconds and the UP/DOWN power-reserve indicator.

Both frames, the scales and the “A. LANGE & SÖHNE” inscription were painstakingly sculpted from the dial material, making them stand out prominently as a relief with a height of 0.15 millimetres. Extreme meticulousness is applied to accomplish the exact shape and sharply chiselled contours of all elements. The precise detailing of all angles and edges sets a formidable challenge even to the most experienced finishers.

In a next step, the three dial parts are black-rhodiumed. Subsequently, the finishers carefully grind the raised elements by hand, shining the spotlight on the re-emerging lustre of the honey gold, radiant against the dark background.

Then, the finely polished Roman numerals III, IX, XII, the six lozenge-shaped hour appliques and the frame for the outsize date are separately integrated in the dial. Finally, the auxiliary dials are connected with the main dial from the back. The entire process, from the first to the last step, takes several weeks.

Black polish ‒ a rare and sophisticated type of finish

An aperture in the dial affords a captivating view of the tourbillon. The artisanal virtuosity manifests itself especially in the eye-catching upper tourbillon bridge and the top side of the cage that are decorated with one of the most elaborate finishing techniques: black polish.

It involves using special abrasive pastes and uniformly sliding the workpiece with just the right pressure across a tin plate by hand until the surface reflects the light like a mirror when viewed from a certain angle. And from another perspective, it has a jet-black sheen. All the acute internal angles of the cage are polished: this also requires extreme meticulousness and experience.

A small stage for great watchmaking artistry

The CABARET TOURBILLON is a milestone in the history of precision watchmaking. It was with this watch that A. Lange & Söhne introduced the world’s first stop seconds for the tourbillon in 2008. Since then, several of the manufacture’s models have been equipped with this useful additional function. The novelty in honey gold now continues this tradition.

The then patented Lange mechanism allows stopping the tourbillon at any time with an arresting spring, regardless of the momentary positions of the balance and the cage. Only now is it possible to set the watch with one-second accuracy.

While this function is standard in conventional mechanical watches, it remained an unresolved matter in tourbillon watches for a long time. The A. Lange & Söhne engineers presented the elusive solution in 2008

A form movement ‒ sublimely finished

A glance through the sapphire-crystal caseback unveils the technical intricacy and mechanical beauty of the manually wound calibre L042.1

It is composed of 370 parts, of which no fewer than 84 are integrated in the filigreed tourbillon, weighing only approximately a quarter of a gram. It has a twin mainspring barrel that delivers a substantial power reserve of 120 hours while the balance spring operates at a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour.

Measuring 22.3 by 32.6 millimetres, the large form movement of the CABARET TOURBILLON HONEYGOLD is tailored to the shape of the case. It is based on the rectangular CABARET model, which, since its launch in 1997, has stood for extravagance as well as for a distinctive movement philosophy.

As is the case with round A. Lange & Söhne movements, the wheel train of the manufacture calibre L042.1 is also mounted on a three-quarter plate made of untreated German silver and decorated with Glashütte ribbing.

Further typical hallmarks include the manually engraved tourbillon cock and intermediate-wheel cock, screwed gold chatons, blued screws and the ratchet wheel that is embellished with solarisation.

Extravagant personality

The case measures 29.5 by 39.2 millimetres and 10.3 millimetres in height. The refined colour composition of a warm-hued, resplendent honey-gold case and a black-rhodiumed dial is complemented by the dark-brown alligator leather strap secured with a honey-gold prong buckle.

The CABARET TOURBILLON HONEYGOLD is the 18th Lange watch crafted in honey gold. In mid-May 2026, it will be introduced during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este held on the shores of Lake Como.

A. Lange & Sohne – LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen” Platinum Edition

A. Lange & SohneLANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen” 41.9mm Platinum Edition 2026

Traditional watchmaking artistry and contemporary design

The LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen” incorporates two grand complications into the unmistakeable design of the LANGE 1: a tourbillon with stop seconds as well as a perpetual calendar with a peripheral month ring and instantaneously switching displays.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

All indications are also legible in the dark. Thanks to the effective staging of larger and more subtle luminous elements, the watch is endowed with a radiant elegance. The newly developed, highly complex manufacture calibre L225.1 can be admired through the dial and caseback of the timepiece.

Unmistakeable – by day and by night

In a refined manner, the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen” incorporates a tourbillon and a perpetual calendar into the unmistakeable design of the LANGE 1, whose off-centre dial configuration is prominent yet at the same time harmonious.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The displays are arranged in the form of an isosceles triangle: an imaginary vertical line connects outsize date, retrograde day-of-week display as well as the seconds hand and the moon-phase display. The centre of the hour and minute display marks the tip of the triangle. Contrary to conventional constructions, the months are displayed on a rotating circumferential ring. The leap-year display is located in a small aperture at 6 o’clock.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

All calendar indications switch instantaneously to produce unambiguous readings at all times. The switching sequences can be conveniently handled jointly or separately with correctors on the exterior of the case. Assuming the watch runs without interruption, the calendar indications must be corrected by hand for the first time on 1 March in 2100, a secular year.

Contrast and transparency

Apart from its remarkable geometry, the design language of the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen” is based on two additional superordinate principles: contrast and transparency.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Hence, the light-coloured, gleaming platinum case contrasts crisply with the dark dial and the black, hand-stitched alligator leather strap. On the dial, hands and appliques in rhodiumed gold and white scales against a dark background assure superb legibility. The principle of contrast is reiterated in the movement where polished light surfaces alternate with matted or darker ones.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Simultaneously, the transparency of the dial constitutes a constructive necessity. It allows the passage of energy-rich UV light that continuously charges the luminous compound of the underlying displays and causes them to glow in the dark. The exceptional dial and the luminous elements make this timepiece into a shining example of Lange watchmaking artistry ‒ by day and by night.

Luminescencenew elegance

All displays of the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen” are luminous and therefore also provide unambiguous readings in the dark. The meticulously orchestrated interplay of larger and more filigreed surfaces creates an elegant, nuanced ambience of light. The implementation of each individual “Lumen”-display is based on an innovative, complex dial architecture.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The radiant highlight, the luminous outsize date, makes the sophisticated mechanism consisting of a tens cross and a units disc visible in the dark. Moreover, the first luminous moon-phase display with an integrated day/night indication premieres in this watch. A celestial disc that rotates clockwise once during 24 hours forms the backdrop for the lunar orbit.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

During the day, a light sky without stars can be perceived ‒ at night, a dark sky studded with a multitude of luminous stars. In front of the celestial disc, the precise waxing and waning of the earth’s companion can be observed while it slowly traverses the sky. The display deviates from the true position of the moon by only one day after 122.6 years.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The leap-year display at 6 o’clock is also coated with a luminous compound, resulting in the same pronounced two-dimensional intensity of the outsize date. The hands indicating the hours, minutes, seconds and day of the week, as well as all scales, appliques and contours of the moon, are significantly more delicate in terms of their luminescence.

Artisanal virtuosity made visible

Thanks to the semi-transparent dial, the movement with its complex calendar mechanism and cornucopia of meticulously finished individual parts can be admired. For instance, the large plates decorated with perlage, the bridges with artistic solarisation, the levers adorned with precise straight graining as well as the toothed wheels embellished with circular graining can be appreciated close-up.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Together with the chamfered edges, they are testament to the high standards with regard to artisanal finish. Additionally, the colour palette of the materials deployed provides aesthetic accents.

Tourbillonbeyond precision

On the dial side, only a subtle inscription at 12 o’clock offers a clue as to which grand complication lies concealed within the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen”: the tourbillon.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Only at a glance through the sapphire-crystal caseback, the refined mechanism is revealed in all its technical splendour. Once a minute, the filigreed carriage rotates about its own axis, thus compensating for the influence of gravity on the balance with eccentric poising weights. Combined with the balance spring crafted in-house, it guarantees the ultimate in precision. Both components are perfectly matched and assure superior rate accuracy of the movement that operates at a frequency of 21. 600 semi-oscillations per hour.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The stop-seconds device allows to immediately halt the balance within the tourbillon cage at will by pulling the crown. This makes it possible to set a tourbillon watch with one-second accuracy, thanks to a sophisticated construction with a V-shaped arresting spring for which the manufacture was granted a patent in 2008.

Extreme complexitypeerless finish

Down to the last detail, the new self-winding manufacture calibre L225.1 was developed in accordance with the highest standards to which A. Lange & Söhne is committed. Its constructive complexity makes it possible to unite a tourbillon, perpetual calendar and a moon-phase display – and to furthermore equip the watch with functional particularities such as a stop-seconds mechanism and the outsize date.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The refined composition of lavish decorations emphasises the manufacture’s quest for perfection. The artisanal virtuosity manifests itself especially in the tourbillon cage as well as the tourbillon cock and the intermediate-wheel cock. They are crafted from stainless steel and exhibit one of the most elaborate finishing techniques: black polish.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

This technique involves using special abrasive pastes and uniformly sliding the workpiece with just the right pressure across a tin plate by hand until the surface reflects the light like a mirror when viewed from a certain angle.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

And from another perspective, it has a jet-black sheen. All the edges are chamfered and polished. One of the greatest challenges is finishing the internal angles: this requires extreme meticulousness and a steady hand.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

A central rotor, crafted from 18-carat white gold (750) for the first time, bears the A. Lange & Söhne signature and assures efficient winding. The external centrifugal mass in 950 platinum provides additional momentum, making a maximum power reserve of 50 hours available after only a short time on the wrist. The rotor also adopts the design principle of colour contrast, implemented in the dark, black-rhodiumed central segment and the lighter surface of the centrifugal mass.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Furthermore, the tourbillon cock and the intermediate-wheel cock are embellished with small stars and a shooting star. They are engraved by hand and then circumspectly polished, creating a richly contrasting transition between the matted surroundings and the gleaming engravings. In the centre of the tourbillon, a diamond endstone secured by a screwed gold chaton provides another striking focal point. The traditional element that A. Lange & Söhne once equipped the most precious 1A-quality pocket watches with represents the lustrous highlight of this precision mechanical masterpiece.

With a case diameter of 41.9 millimetres and a height of 13.0 millimetres, the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Lumen” is worn on a black alligator leather strap with a deployant quick-lock buckle in 950 platinum. Limited to 50 watches, the edition will be presented at Watches and Wonders 2026 in Geneva

A. Lange & Söhne – LANGE 1 DAYMATIC HONEYGOLD Edition

A. Lange & SohneLANGE 1 DAYMATIC HONEYGOLD® Brown Silver 925 Dial Edition - 2026

The self-winding Lange classic in honey gold

The LANGE 1 DAYMATIC is the self-winding counterpart of the most renowned A. Lange & Söhne watch – it mirrors the distinctive design of the classic LANGE 1. For the first time, it is presented with a case in 750 honey gold (HONEYGOLD®).

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The warm lustre of the gold alloy, exclusive to the manufacture, elegantly complements the brown dial made of 925 silver and endows the 250-piece limited edition with a particularly refined personality.

A. Lange & Sohne – Gold pocket watch No. 93

In several respects, 7 December represents a memorable day for A. Lange & Söhne. In 1845, Ferdinand Adolph Lange laid the cornerstone for German precision watchmaking in Glashütte on this very day.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Yet it is also the day of the courageous fresh start that his great-grandson Walter Lange made ‒ in 1990, the year of German reunification. 35 years later, on the significant date of 7 December 2025, A. Lange & Söhne now launches the new LANGE 1 DAYMATIC HONEYGOLD, limited to 250 watches

Familiar face – mirrored design

Introduced in 2010, the LANGE 1 DAYMATIC is unmistakeably a LANGE 1, yet offers a new perspective on the style-defining design that was awarded multiple prizes.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The off-centre dial configuration of the manually wound LANGE 1 graces the LANGE 1 DAYMATIC as well, but the dial is a mirror image of the original: the hour and minute display is positioned on the right-hand side of the dial, the subsidiary seconds dial and the outsize date on the left.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Contrary to the classic LANGE 1, the LANGE 1 DAYMATIC is not equipped with a power-reserve indicator, but with a retrograde day-of-week display on the left periphery of the dial. This calendar function complements the characteristic outsize date and simultaneously underscores the individuality of the timepiece within the watch family.

Harmonious proportions – rare colour combination

The case of the LANGE 1 DAYMATIC HONEYGOLD exhibits balanced proportions and harmonious lines. With a diameter of 39.5 millimetres and a height of 10.4 millimetres, it assures a snug fit on the wrist and can be slipped under a shirt cuff. Subtly reworked, the lugs and bezel give the watch its particular air of lightness.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The fusion of a honey-gold case with a brown dial in 925 silver account for the unique and elegant appearance of the timepiece. Its radiant lustre is reflected in the hands, appliques and frame of the outsize date. Moreover, the dial offers a variety of expressive details, such as, for instance, the slightly recessed hour and minute circle that intensifies the three-dimensional effect of the dial. The outsize date is depicted in white numerals against a brown background ‒ a perfect match for the dial colour.

The LANGE 1 DAYMATIC HONEYGOLD is worn on a taupe-coloured, hand-stitched alligator leather strap secured with a buckle in solid honey gold.

Traditional design – sophisticated architecture

The balanced design and artisanal finish of the LANGE 1 DAYMATIC HONEYGOLD extend into the interior of the watch where its heart, the lavishly finished self-winding manufacture calibre L021.1, beats reliably. Its individual architecture is inspired by tradition and assures superb precision with a view to adjustment and assembly. This includes, for instance, the four separately screwed plates that visually constitute a classic three-quarter plate in the fully assembled movement.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Efficient winding and delivery of a constant force are assured by a large central rotor extending across the entire diameter of the movement. Its central segment in 875 gold (21 carats) is embossed with the “A. Lange & Söhne” signature and its centrifugal mass is made of 950 platinum.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The colourful composition of warm-hued gold, cool-toned platinum and cornflower-blue screws makes the rotor an eye-catching focal point of technical elegance. The four slender spokes cushion the heavy rotor in the case of shocks and protect the movement against high strain. When fully wound, a power reserve of 50 hours becomes available.

Typical Lange finissage

Further typical Lange quality hallmarks of the dedicated movement include an indexless oscillation system featuring a large balance wheel with eccentric poising weights, and a balance spring developed and crafted in-house that beats at a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

As is the case with all Lange calibres, the 426-part L021.1 movement is assembled twice and endowed with many traditional elements. The elaborate finissage of all components complies with the manufacture’s strictest standards regarding artisanal perfection. Traditional features such as the hand-engraved balance cock, Glashütte ribbing and screwed gold chatons provide fascinating highlights that can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

“With its distinctive design, sophisticated manufacture movement and artisanal finissage, the LANGE 1 DAYMATIC HONEYGOLD presents itself as a timepiece with a strong personality for aficionados of self-winding watches,” reflects Anthony de Haas, Director of Product Development. “Its exclusive case material and the rare colour combination make it into an elegant classic with a high recognition value.”
