“From as early as 1806, Louis Moinet created exquisite timepieces for the leading figures of his era. I like to think that the Skydance, which captures the heavenly world so dear to the great watchmaker, is now intended for the women who brighten our own world.” — Nathanaël Schaller, Creative Product Manager.
The heavenly ballet
In the infinite expanse of the sky, each has its own part to play. Moon patiently illuminates the night with its silent presence, while Sun casts its rays brightly and with ceaseless energy. Between them, an eternal choreography takes shape, a refined interplay of light, motion and time.

With Skydance, Les Ateliers Louis Moinet once again reveals its mastery of refined aesthetics that have become the hallmark of its ladies’ watches.
Elegance on the heavenly vault
The dial was conceived with great care to express this poetic cosmological encounter. On the white mother-of-pearl backdrop with its iridescent sheen, eleven scintillating diamonds mark the hours. Moon, a golden crescent open towards the sky, appears on a disc of genuine lunar meteorite, a Dhofar 457, that once landed on Earth.

Opposite Moon, Sun shines upon a sparkling aventurine background. The secret to its captivating motion lies in two superimposed sun discs, one fixed, the other rotating thanks to the automatic movement driving the watch.

A ring laid upon the mother-of-pearl like a heavenly bond connects Moon’s crescent, resting on its fragment of lunar meteorite, with the radiating Sun.

The hour and minute hands, shaped like dewdrops in black nickel and enhanced with luminescent material, hover over this circle with discreet grace.

The 36-millimeter case, crafted from grade 5 titanium with a white ceramic bezel, creates a silhouette that is light and graceful.

The crown, also in titanium and with a ceramic circlet, bears a fleur-de-lys at its centre, the emblem of Bourges, Louis Moinet’s birthplace. The lugs are adorned with a white cabochon, a final bright touch in this radiant composition.

Two versions are available, each limited to just 28 pieces: one with a bezel set with six diamonds, the other set with sixty diamonds, one for each minute of the hour.

The automatic movement visible through the transparent case back is powered by an oscillating weight that prolongs the cosmological theme. Indeed, Moon lies in Sun’s embrace like a permanent eclipse.
Finally, a rubber strap with a satin finish elegantly complements the timepiece. It was conceived for comfort and highlights the refined character of the Skydance.
2026: two milestones in the history of Louis Moinet
The launch of Skydance comes in a year marked by two significant milestones for Les Ateliers Louis Moinet.

2026 is the 210th anniversary of the world’s first chronograph, which was completed by Louis Moinet in 1816. As a passionate astronomer and watchmaker, he designed this instrument of extreme precision to measure the movement of the stars.

The year 2026 also marks the 220th anniversary of 1806, which has always been an integral part of Les Ateliers Louis Moinet’s identity. In that year, Louis Moinet built a remarkable clock for Napoléon Bonaparte. He went on to make a number of exquisite creations for leading figures of his era.

Two centuries later, this same passion for the stars and artistic drive can be seen in a feminine incarnation with Skydance.
