For the sixth of its grand exhibitions across the world, Patek Philippe has chosen one of its leading markets: Japan. From 10 to 25 June 2023, the public and devotees may immerse themselves in the world of the last remaining independent family-owned Genevan watch manufacture. Here they will discover a decor of more than 2,500 square meters transporting them to the atmosphere of the streets of Geneva and the lakeside and taking them behind the scenes of Patek Philippe itself. The largest exhibition ever organized by the manufacture, this event is accompanied by the launch of six limited editions and a rich collection of pieces showcasing the rare handcrafts. Unveiled for the first time in a 15-piece limited series during the
WATCH ARTTM grand exhibition in Tokyo 2023, the new self-winding Patek
Philippe Quadruple Complication watch (reference 5308P-010) combines a
minute repeater, a split-seconds chronograph and an instantaneous

The Quadruple Complication is an evolution of the Patek Philippe Triple Complication Reference 5208
launched in 2011, with minute repeater, chronograph, and instantaneous
perpetual calendar. In addition to these classic complications, the
Reference 5308 offers the split-seconds function.

This new timepiece houses the
Patek Philippe R CHR 27 PS QI caliber.
Made of
799 parts and equipped with a platinum mini rotor that increases
winding power, this self-winding movement has benefited with an
increased barrel torque.

It also incorporates two patented innovations: a
backlash-compensating wheel that eliminates chronograph friction at the
clutch, and an isolation system that eliminates the energy consumption
of the split-seconds when it is stopped.
The minute repeater on two classic gongs offers the legendary sound
quality of Patek Philippe’s chiming watches. The monopusher chronograph
has a 60-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 9 o’clock.
The split-seconds hand is controlled by its own pusher at 4 o’clock.

The instantaneous perpetual calendar, a real feat reserved for very
rare timepieces, ensures that the disks pass in 30 milliseconds over the
three day-date-month apertures arranged along an arc.

The rose-gilt opaline dial features charcoal gray white gold applied
hour markers and faceted dauphine hands. The entirely polished platinum
case measuring 42 mm in diameter stands out with its skeletonized lugs
and its diamond set on the case middle at 6 o’clock.

The watch comes with two interchangeable case backs: one in sapphire
crystal adorned with the
“Patek Philippe Tokyo” transfer; the other in
platinum engraved with the same inscription.
This Quadruple Complication watch comes with a hand-stitched shiny
chocolate brown alligator leather strap and a platinum fold-over clasp.
