VACHERON CONSTANTIN Traditionelle Small Model Diamond-set 18K White Gold NEW

A sparkling watch certified by the Hallmark of Geneva

A grand classic among the Vacheron Constantin watch collections, the Traditionnelle line revels in
testifying to its undeniable affinities with artistic crafts. After having launched a 38 mm-diameter
version in
2013, the Manufacture showcases once again a multitude of artistic feats with a daintily
feminine 33 mm-diameter version entirely paved with several hundred round-cut diamonds. Beneath
the sparkling elegance of the snow-set dial beats hand-wound
Calibre 1400 bearing the prestigious
Hallmark of Geneva.

In a spectacular display of working with light, the gem-setter has opted to alternate between two
different gem-setting techniques to play on various sparkling and shining effects according to the
surfaces to be lit up. The bezel and sides of the 18-carat white gold case are paved with 196 grain-set
diamonds, while 394 diamonds shimmer intensely on the dial thanks to the magic of the snow setting.
The subtly random reflections of this clever gem-setting contribute to a glowing visual effect achieved
by juxtaposing precious stones of varying sizes so as to entirely cover the underlying gold surface.
Perfectly moulding the rounded curves of the case, the 608 precious stones completely carpet the
watch, while a 0.06-carat round-cut diamond appears like a punctuation mark on the fluted winding
crown. A night blue Mississippiensis alligator leather strap creates a striking contrast that further
enhances the luminous beauty of the diamonds. It is adorned with an 18-carat white gold pin buckle set
with 17 round-cut diamonds.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...                 BIG FOTO

The impressive mastery of the gem-setter is matched by that of the watchmaker. The sapphire crystal
caseback reveals hand-wound Calibre 1400. Developed and crafted by Vacheron Constantin in keeping
with the finest Haute Horlogerie traditions, it meets the demands laid down by the famous Hallmark of
Geneva that applies to the finished watch.

This movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and ensures a 40-hour power reserve. Its finishing as well as its design testify to superlative craftsmanship: not only do the main smooth surfaces of the movement bear a traditional Côtes de Genève motif, but their sharp edges are also finely chamfered before being hand-polished, as are the flat-head screws.

BLANCPAIN – Gombessa III – Expedition Antarctica

BLANCPAIN Gombessa III – Expedition Antarctica !

Blancpain and Laurent Ballesta launched the third Gombessa expedition, in association with Luc Jacquet and his Wild-Touch Expeditions - Antarctica! project.

December 2015

Following on from the Gombessa I expedition, which revealed the secrets of the coelacanth, the greatest zoological discovery of the 20th century, and Gombessa II, which studied the spectacular spawn of the camouflage grouper, Laurent Ballesta and Blancpain have travelled to Antarctica for a pioneering exploratory, diving and photographic mission. This expedition is part of a wider meta-project initiated by movie director Luc Jacquet (who won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2006 with March of the Penguins) to measure the impact of global warming in this polar region, and to capture the attention of the general public.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...           BIG FOTO

The HQ of the Gombessa III expedition has been set up at the French Dumont d'Urville scientific base
in Adélie Land. This is the first time a team of technical divers has been able to go beneath the sea ice
in this region. Each of the dives, never previously undertaken, represents an achievement on both
human and technical levels, and will deliver the very first naturalist images of Antarctica’s deep-sea
ecosystems. At the request of several research groups, particularly those at the National Museum of
Natural History
(MNHN) in Paris and the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in
Marseille, the Gombessa III team will contribute to an inventory of deep-sea fauna that is being
created in relation to the issue of global warming, and will share all of their footage with researchers
for use in scientific publications

Gombessa III corresponds to the underwater element of the Wild-Touch Expeditions - Antarctica!
project initiated and directed by Luc Jacquet. Ten years after March of the Penguins, the director has
returned to the Antarctic with a highly talented artistic team, which includes renowned photographers
Laurent Ballesta and Vincent Munier, to deliver a touching testament to a territory threatened by
global warming. This immersive journey to the other side of the planet has been made possible by the
support of many partners, and with the help of the teams and logistics provided by the French Polar
Institute and the French Southern and Antarctic Lands.

The expedition, which can be tracked on a daily video-blog on www.blancpain-ocean-commitment.com, will give rise to several documentaries, including those produced by ARTE in the
image of “Gombessa I – The Coelacanth, Dive Towards our Origins” and “Gombessa II – The
Grouper Mystery
”, both of which received prestigious awards. Other plans include an IMAX movie
by Luc Jacquet, books, including one for children, exhibitions, including one at the Musée des
Confluences in Lyon between April 18 and August 15, 2016, and a vast social media campaign to
raise awareness among the general public.

ARMIN STROM – Tourbillon Skeleton FIRE Gold

ARMIN STROMTourbillon Skeleton FIRE Gold NEW

ARMIN STROM Extends Founder's Legacy with Introduction of New Tourbillon Skeleton

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...           BIG FOTO

ARMIN STROM’S new Tourbillon Skeleton celebrates the mechanical artistry of watchmaking's ultimate complication, the tourbillon. With this introduction, the independent Swiss manufacture continues to propel the brand into future while honoring the vision and passion of the brand's founder, master skeletonizer Armin Strom.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...           BIG FOTO

Tourbillon Skeleton is a new timepiece specially designed to highlight its technical prowess.

An elite circle of watch Manufactures are capable of producing a tourbillon. With Tourbillon Skeleton, the skeletonizing of the tourbillon compounded the technical challenge for Armin Strom. Ultimately the skeletonizing enhances the movement's mechanical artistry, with PVD colorization of the main plate emphasizing the caliber's layered construction. Along with the constant rotation of the tourbillon, owners will observe the animation of the double going barrel while the watch is wound.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...           BIG FOTO

Armin Strom founded his eponymous brand in 1967 and retired in 2011, after selling the company to the Michel family. Owner Serge Michel and chief horologist Claude Greisler have enhanced the brand's capabilities by establishing an independent Manufacture in Biel/Bienne that opened in 2009 to develop and produce movements. The company introduced its first manual-wind tourbillon in 2012 and a micro-rotor tourbillon in 2013.

"I'm very proud that Serge, Claude and their team have realized one of my dreams - skeletonizing a tourbillon,"
said Mr. Strom. "For me, it is a joy to see the continued growth and success of the brand."

Greisler added, "We're continually inspired by Armin's tremendous skill and vision. His desire to display the beautiful techniques and mechanics in every watch — the heart and soul of the timepiece—is our overriding goal."

H. MOSER & CIE. – ENDEAVOUR Perpetual Calendar Concept

MOSER & CIE.ENDEAVOUR Perpetual Calendar Concept White Gold Limited Edition NEW

PRE-SIHH - COMPLEXITY MADE SIMPLE WITH THE H. MOSER & CIE. ENDEAVOUR PERPETUAL CALENDAR CONCEPT

Neuhausen am Rheinfall, December 8th, 2015

Ten years ago, when H. Moser & Cie. launched its Endeavour Perpetual Calendar it took everyone by surprise with the purest, most ingenious and most practical perpetual calendar on the market. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of this iconic model, the Schaffhausen-based manufacture is pushing the boundaries of creativity further and countering trends. In a market saturated with oversized watches and logos emblazoned everywhere, H. Moser & Cie. boldly presents a watch which is simplicity itself: the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept in a limited edition of 10 timepieces in white gold. As the ultimate expression of minimalism and purity, with neither logo nor index - stripped even of the small seconds dial - this perpetual calendar reveals its timeless beauty.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...                      BIG FOTO

In 2005, H. Moser & Cie. presented a revolutionary perpetual calendar with a complex movement and radically simple dial. No sub-dial, no illegible date disc: the indices showed not only the hours, but also the months, using a small central hand in the shape of an arrow. A date window at 3 o’clock and power reserve indicator at 9 o'clock completed the piece, making it the most legible and easy-to-adjust watch on the market.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...                      BIG FOTO

The Endeavour Perpetual Calendar watch became an iconic collector’s piece in 2006 when it was distinguished with the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (GPHG) in the complicated watch category.

Ten years on, H. Moser & Cie. marks the 10th anniversary of its flagship model by taking the concept of simplicity to new extremes. Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., explains: "We were often asked if it would be possible to make an even simpler perpetual calendar. The Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept meets that demand". Featuring the company's signature fumé dial without a visible logo, this timepiece remains immediately identifiable, proof that true luxury is unmistakeable.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...                      BIG FOTO

The watch is set off by a beige kudu leather strap, lending this bold, modern design an irreverent appeal, with a heart true to the finest watchmaking tradition. The Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Concept is powered by the HMC 341 calibre, a technical marvel.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...   BIG FOTO

With a 7-day power reserve, this particularly ingenious movement is the very essence of simplicity itself, enabling the date to be adjusted forwards or backwards at any time of day. "This is because we don't just create complications, we also create innovative solutions for reading the time", concludes Edouard Meylan.

A. Lange & Sohne – 1815 TOURBILLON Handwerkskunst

A. Lange & Söhne 1815 TOURBILLON Handwerkskunst Gold Limited Edition NEW

Special limited edition crowns anniversary year

The 1815
TOURBILLON is the first A. Lange & Söhne watch that combines a stop-seconds device for the tourbillon and the ZERO-RESET mechanism. At the close of the anniversary year that commemorates the 200th birthday of Ferdinand Adolph Lange, this paragon of precision timekeeping is being presented in a limited HANDWERKSKUNST edition featuring extraordinary dial and movement decorations.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ....              BIG FOTO

Handwerkskunst, the German word for "artisanship", is an attribute of distinction that A. Lange & Söhne has been using since 2011 to identify special limited-edition watches whose dials and movements are endowed with rare finissage and engraving techniques. On 7 December 2015, the eminent Saxon manufactory is presenting the 1815 TOURBILLON HANDWERKSKUNST, a new model that not only stands out with exceptional decorative elements, but also unites two patented mechanisms.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ....              BIG FOTO

The ZERO-RESET function launched in 1997 by A. Lange & Söhne is paired with the stop-seconds device for the tourbillon that was introduced in 2008. Together, these mechanisms make it possible to stop and set the timepiece with one-second accuracy.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ....              BIG FOTO

Limited to 30 watches, the special-edition model is available in a pink-gold case with a diameter of 39.5 millimetres. A. Lange & Söhne's fifth HANDWERKSKUNST edition is a precious homage to Ferdinand Adolph Lange, the great Saxon watchmaking pioneer whose 200th birthday is being memorialised this year.

The main difference versus the model presented in 2014 is the dial. It is made of black-rhodiumed pink gold and decorated with elegant tremblage engraving. The engraver who uses this technique sculpts the material with a specially crafted lining burin to achieve a uniform, fine granular structure.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ....              FOTO

The relief elements on the dial, including the prominent arced brand logo and the numerals, are later polished to a mirror gloss and contrast prominently against the dark background. An aperture in the dial reveals the large one-minute tourbillon. The tourbillon bridge and the upper part of the cage are black-polished: this is one of the most elaborate and time-consuming finissage techniques.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ....              BIG FOTO

Mechanical precision is reflected in every detail of the lavishly decorated L102.1 manufacture calibre. The elegantly curved shape of the newly designed three-quarter plate is a special hallmark. Thanks to generous cut-outs, the tourbillon with the patented stop mechanism is easily visible from the movement side as well, as are the spring barrel and parts of the wheel train.

The grained surface of the German silver plate is inspired by historic pocket watches. Bevel-polishing reentrant angles is a particular challenge. This task can only be performed manually with a sharp, specially designed tool. The fourth-wheel bridge is pierced to provide a better view of the tourbillon.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ....              BIG FOTO

Just like the plate and the caseback, it is endowed with artistic engravings. The diamond endstone of the tourbillon vibrantly accentuates the movement decorations.

CORUM – Heritage Bubble Op Art

CORUM Heritage Bubble Op Art Series Limited Edition NEW

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...                    BIG FOTO

Introduced in 2000, the Corum Bubble became an instant hit among the lovers of oversized watches, thanks to its radically large case and an even larger crystal. Earlier this year, Corum revisited this iconic design by launching the Heritage Bubble. With this new model, exactly 15 years later, the Bubble made a triumphal return, sealing its place as a major creation of Corum. Two new models are now added to the Op Art Series, launched this year.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...                    BIG FOTO

A remarkable 8 mm high, this sapphire crystal is one of the largest of any watch. It acts as a lens, both magnifying and distorting the dial. The partnership with the industrial designer Nicolas Le Moigne, gave birth to two new designs. The patterns are inspired from Op Art, also called optical art, originally introduced by Victor Vasarely, the French artist of Hungarian origin.

Op Art created static patterns that gave an impression of movement or surprising and contradictory perspectives. Nicolas Le Moigne took these codes, while optimizing 3D effects to an extremely reduced scale. The result is as vibrant as the effervescent energy emanating from the Bubble.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...                    BIG FOTO

The dial of the Bubble Sphere2 is aptly named, since it is pictured as the continuation of the dome-shaped crystal sapphire, giving the illusion of a sphere in a sphere. The lines that deftly traverse the dial and glass are full part of this optical effect.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...                    BIG FOTO

With the second model of the Op Art series, the designer makes us travel with a dial akin to symbolized scenery, full of landforms, in a perfectly controlled alternation of highs and lows. Furrows and shadows effects, imitating the surface of moving water, give their name to the Bubble Drop.

This arresting Op Art models will be fitted only to a pair of limited edition, each made in an exclusive run of just 350 pieces. The first one is housed in a brass dial and a PVD-coated case, both in blue-tone. The hands are in the same shade and treated with Super-LumiNova.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...                    BIG FOTO

Using the same materials, the second model is entirely brown PVD coated. The hands follow this monochromatic statement, while breaking with the dial.

The two new timepieces are fitted with rubber straps topped with leather. And each is fitted with a buckle matching the case finish.
