The De Bethune perpetual calendar is tinged with poetry and combines the finesse of watchmaking with the precision mechanics of the Manufacture by bringing together moon phase, starry sky and perpetual calendar in an exceptional timepiece. Inspired by the drum, the round case with a diameter of 44 mm, with its fine and resolutely classic lines, is subtly enhanced by the hollowed-out horns characteristic of the DB25 collection.

A poetic timepiece

The finesse of the decorations and the purity of the green hand-guilloche dial, radiating in 12 sectors, underline the legibility of the dial, which is built up by the assembly of ring-shaped appliques delimiting the sub-dials and the hour circle.

At 12 o'clock, a sphere in palladium and black oxidized zirconium sits in a sky set with gold stars, also incorporating a leap year indicator in a gold pastille in the starry sky at 12 o'clock. The date can be read on a dial located at 6 o'clock, while the windows indicating the day of the week and the month are located at 9 and 3 o'clock respectively.

Unparalleled comfort

The round case of the new DB25QP retains the harmonious lines that contributed to the success of the original DB25QP but is offered for the first time in titanium. This further enhances the practicality and comfort of this timepiece.

A refined movement

Developed in the Manufacture's Haute Horlogerie workshops in Sainte Croix in the Swiss Jura, the automatic DB2324 caliber benefits from De Bethune's research and technology know- how, including a perpetual calendar, a spherical moon indicating the moon phases with a precision of 1 day/122 years, a self-regulating double barrel, a triple pare-chute system and a titanium/grey gold balance.

A sapphire caseback allows one to admire the complexity of the movement as well as the refinement of its finishing: ¾ platinum bridge with star decoration, sandblasted and hand- colored, blued titanium balance bridge and oscillating weight arm, hand-colored white gold weight, hand-beveled and mirror-polished steels.

New reference

This new perpetual calendar comes with a green textile strap with a polished titanium buckle and pin. A second leather strap accompanies it.

They are the new entries in the Chrono Complicazioni segment of Panerai, a watch family characterized by a combination of high-tech materials, complex calibres and small quantities.

A monochromatic black palette defines the bold aesthetic character of the Luminor Chrono Flyback Ceramica. The matte black 44mm ceramic case and bezel are lightweight, highly scratch-resistant and retain their tactile surface and deep, saturated color.  Light glints off the sun-brushed surface of the sandwich dial in the same inky-black hue.

The matte Verde Militare dial together with the polished steel case convey an elegant attitude for the Luminor Chrono Flyback Verde Militare. Numerals and hour markers in white Super-LumiNova™ that glow green in the dark and central chronograph second- and minute-hands in orange optimize the watches with contrasting details that support the sports functions.

Luminor Chrono Flyback

The P.9100 movement, an automatic calibre with a power reserve of three days, characterizes the engines of both watches. Thanks to the flyback function, even when operating the chronograph hands will reset and restart with one press of the pusher at eight o’clock.

The same pusher returns both hands to zero once the chronograph has stopped. A nautical tachymeter scale present on the dial allows the measurement of speed, a tool that recalls the brand’s history of designing instruments for sea-centred pursuits.

Water-resistant up to 10 bar (about 100 meters), the Luminor Chrono Flyback Ceramica features a black alligator strap with a matte finish, a second strap in black rubber and a trapezoidal pin buckle in titanium with DLC coating, while the Luminor Chrono Flyback Verde Militare matches an alligator military green strap with tone on tone stitching, combined with a green rubber as second strap and a trapezoidal brushed steel buckle.
