This rise in power is granted by the talents of drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon, who both now wear a BR 05 Chrono, each engraved with their name and number. “This year, the BR 05 Chrono A523 completes the series of Alpine timepieces, subtly adopting its colour code while perfectly meeting the needs of the team’s drivers. FIRST F1 SEASON WITH ALPINE FOR THE BR 05 CHRONO

The BR 05 Chrono is making its competition debut this season, in Alpine colours. “For the first time, Bell & Ross presents a BR 05 in the colours of F1 and our partner team Alpine, complementing our existing models. The choice of chrono movement meets the needs of Team Alpine, who are of course measuring speed and sports performance. Bell & Ross conveys the Alpine identity in each of its designs through the colour code and logo”, says Bruno Belamich, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Bell & Ross.

Decorated with the French flag, complete with the team blue and displaying the Alpine logo as a counterweight to the chronograph hand, the finely graduated black dial with two counters focuses on readability and functionality under all circumstances – whether a dinner in the city or a professional meeting in the Grand Prix paddocks.

SPORTS CHIC

The chronograph version of the new contemporary urban collection from Bell & Ross, in all its Alpine boldness, reaffirms its dual nature: both sporty and chic. The design retains its elegant proportions, with a 42mm diameter case that continues to square the circle. Refined finishes alternate polished and satin-finished surfaces, creating a subtle diffusion of light.

The BR 05 Chrono A523 is water resistant to 100 metres. Aimed at discerning connoisseurs, this timepiece is available in a limited edition of 500 pieces.

With more than 950 horsepower for a weight of 796kg and capable of reaching 355km per hour, the single-seater Alpine 523 is at the service of the BWT Alpine F1 Team’s ambitions. “In the search for the pinnacle in mechanical performance, the engineers at both Maisons aim to achieve maximum lightness while maintaining optimal endurance, using state-of-the-art techniques and avant-garde materials. The design is inspired by the iconic BR 03, which it revisits in a more refined style. With an integrated case and bracelet, the result is a clean, stylish design with an edgy aura. The elegant BR 05 is a watch designed for urban explorers. Which instead of the fighter pilot jumpsuit wear a refined jacket ideal for a cosmopolitan young man.

The new BR 05 Green Gold is the third link in the Gold family, its case and bracelet are made entirely in gold. The different models in this collection are characterized by a distinctive colour of the dial.

The green on the BR 05 Green Gold evokes victory. It’s the colour of trees – more precisely, that of the fir or spruce tree. On the new BR 05 Green Gold dial, the green shade takes on a luminous, sparkling tone.

The painted metal plate that serves as the base of the dial has a sunburst effect, changing colour when tilted. Depending on the reflections hitting its surface, it varies between an almost fluorescent shade all the way to dark bottle green. The depth of this unique colour is obtained thanks to the numerous coats of tinted green varnish.

THE LUXURIOUS GOLD COLLECTION

The BR 05 Gold collection is characterized by the use of the finest materials, each of the models is realised in 18-carat 5N gold. Giving the illusion to the wearer of a gold ingot for the wrist... A rather singular sensation.

The polished edges of the case bring out its contours. The sapphire crystal caseback reveals the beating heart of the automatic BR-CAL.321 mechanism, with an oscillating weight that’s also adorned in gold. This precious, radiant metal works perfectly with the luminous dressy green dial.

Finally, a third off-white shade enriches the dial with fine, discreet touches. To ensure better readability in the dark, the hands (except for the seconds-hands), numerals and indices, are covered in C3 superluminova, a luminescent material.

The integrated bracelet is designed entirely in satin-brushed gold. Only the small links have a polished finish. A second alligator-leather strap is available in a classic style that pairs well with this chic, elegant timepiece. This is the first time the BR 05 has featured a leather strap.

Bell & Ross is the benchmark brand for aeronautical-inspired watches. In 2022, the house pays homage to air radionavigation instruments – advanced tools that use radio waves to guide jets – by launching the BR 03-92 Radiocompass.

This highly technical watch takes the name of the Radio Compass, an on-board radio receiver which defines the position and direction of an aircraft via beacons on the ground. This indispensable navigation tool guides pilots regardless of the visibility. It allows particularly to fly at night, in the fog or in the rain.

•     BR 01 Radar from 2010 is the first watch of this line. It made a lasting impression. This watchmaking UFO inaugurates an innovative rotating disc display.
•     BR 01 Red Radar from 2011 creates a shock. Its avant-garde dial reproduces the sweeping light beam of an air traffic control radar. It was an instant success.
•     The 2012 box set brings together the first 6 timepieces in this series. They revisit the 6 main navigation instruments. This box set gives the illusion of a jet’s dashboard.
•     The HUD (Head-Up Display) from 2020 is inspired by head-up display technology. Its innovative display combines rotating discs and analogue hands.

For the display of the BR 03-92 Radiocompass, the Bell & Ross development teams have faithfully reproduced the graphics of the instrument that served as an inspiration.

The matt black dial contrasts with the white graduations arranged in 3 circles. The innermost circle features the hour numerals. The minute indexes follow, and finally the seconds numerals are on the flange. A white triangle at 12 o’clock in Super-LumiNova® enables you to find your bearings at night.

Little novelty, all the numerals are arranged in a targeted way. Usually, they are placed, but in this timepiece, they are turned towards the centre of the dial as on a navigation instrument.

The numerals adopt isonorm typography, with very legible graphics. This technical and functional typeface is used in the industry.

Finally, the dial also houses a date window between 4 and 5 o’clock.

Specific and coloured hands

Much of the great originality of the BR 03-92 Radiocompass comes from its very unusual hands, which take up the particular shape of the hands on the Radio Compass, the reference instrument.

They also adopt 3 complementary colours. These pop, almost fluorescent shades contrast with the matt black of the dial. They allow easy and immediate reading of the time. They also give a fun appearance to this watch.

With its shape and colour, each hand is associated with a time indication.

•     The largest one indicates the hours. Painted in orange, it is made up of two branches and features a stylish H.
•     The very long baton hand, adorned with a stylish M, gives the minutes. Painted yellow, it protrudes on both sides.
