La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland – 11 May 2021: Just in time for summer, the Swiss luxury watchmaker unveils the TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition, an exceptional timepiece in a brand new colour: a deep blue-green with an intense shimmer. Limited to 500 pieces, this watch artfully combines the tradition inherited from the first Heuer Carrera models with modern elegance, brought together by an incomparable Riviera style.

The TAG Heuer Carrera collection pays homage to the brand’s fascinating motor racing heritage with a line of timeless, sporty and elegant chronographs. Since their introduction more than 60 years ago under the visionary Jack Heuer, these timepieces, with their clean lines and perfect proportions, have become an instantly recognisable icon. And this expertly reworked new edition is a worthy successor to the original 1963 model.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition chronograph has in fact plenty in common with the Heuer Carrera ref. 2447. The signature lugs, stylish case, polished push buttons and dial all chime pleasingly with its illustrious predecessor, but the details and broader diameter – enlarged from 36 to 39 mm – bring it right up to date.

The dial boasts a sober, sophisticated tricompax structure with three snailed subdials: a minute chronograph at 3 o’clock, hour chronograph at 9 o’clock and permanent second indicator at 6 o’clock.

The hour and minute hands are faceted and coated with Super-LumiNova® for optimum readability. Behind the retro-style “glass box” domed sapphire crystal, also inspired by the original Heuer Carrera, the dial sports the emblematic Heuer logo and Carrera name.

And last but not least, the new feature that makes this watch stand out from the crowd: the dial’s stunning teal sunray-brushed colour. Rarely featured in TAG Heuer collections, this colour is a subtle blend of blue and green, giving this timepiece a fresh, creative flair and sophisticated boldness. On the caseback, there are touches of teal on the movement’s column wheel and in the “Calibre Heuer 02” and “Swiss Made” inscriptions on the oscillating mass, visible through the transparent case.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition features the Calibre Heuer 02 manufacture movement, a cutting-edge automatic chronograph movement made exclusively in Switzerland at the TAG Heuer factory in Chevenez. This movement comprises 168 parts, including a column wheel and vertical clutch – a guarantee of outstanding chronometric performance. It also boasts an impressive 80-hour power reserve.

Worn on a black alligator leather strap featuring a folding clasp with two safety push buttons, this model is limited to 500 pieces and engraved with the mention “SPECIAL EDITION” on the caseback.

Zenith has reimagined its emblematic Chronomaster Open in a manner that immediately evokes Cohiba’s unique aesthetic. Taking on the striking design codes of the packaging and paper bands that wrap each of its entirely hand-rolled and exquisitely blended cigars, the dial of the Chronomaster Open Cohiba 55th anniversary edition is done in the distinct saffron-yellow tone and white on black checkered motif. A yellow chronograph seconds hand with a star-shaped counterweight completes the look, while the black alligator leather strap harmoniously accentuates the checkered pattern of the dial.

Limited to just 55 pieces, the Chronomaster Open Cohiba 55th anniversary edition is completed with a special display back with the special Cohiba 55 logo printed on the interior side of the sapphire crystal. To enjoy the full epicurean experience, each watch will come with a set of 5 special Cohiba cigars presented in an exclusive cobranded porcelain jar.
