Faithful to Alpina’s roots, a new line of smoked dials combining urban elegance and sporty technicity is born, reinterpreting its best-selling pieces.

The Startimer Pilot

Drawing inspiration from the Startimer Pilot Automatic collection, these Shadow Line edition timepieces maintain all the desired pilot features as well as excellence and qualitative finishing details with an added twist.

A great example of the above would be the rose gold-plated stainless steel 44 mm case contrasting with a dark grey sunray finishing dial, it displays the typical oversized luminous hand-applied rose gold-plated indexes and hands with a date window at 3 o’clock.

The timepiece features a dark genuine leather e-strap as well as an engraved case back. Another model is available in black PVD-coated stainless steel with a dark blue or dark grey dial displaying mat finishing and applied pearl black indexes and date window at 3 o’clock.

The same models are available with the quartz Chronograph function and bearing the same mat urban sporty look.

The Alpiner 4 Automatic

The Alpiner 4 is one of the most emblematic Swiss sports watches, combining beautiful aesthetics while offering performance and accuracy to alpine and nature enthusiasts under the harshest conditions.

Alpina introduces a new version in black PVD-coated stainless steel with its famous red triangle adorning the seconds hand and the 12 o’clock mark on the bi-directional turning bezel, while the Alpina 1883 logo is engraved on the 44mm back case of the watch. The date window is displayed at 3 o’clock and the luminova-treated indexes are delicately placed over the sunray-finished dial. The AL-525 automatic caliber offers a 38-hour power-reserve, the stainless-steel case allows for a 10 ATM water-resistance as well as the other three main features of the Concept 4 anti-magnetic, anti-shock, and stainless steel.

E-strap

Each watch comes with its own black leather e-strap with a black fiberglass buckle.
The Alpina e-strap helps you to track your steps, calories, sleep, and more.

The e-strap is an elegant and sporty leather strap with a hidden chip in its buckle that helps you to lead a healthier lifestyle and get tips from its companion app, the MMT-365. The app can be downloaded free of charge on iOS and Android devices and functions with all Alpina Horological smartwatches.

GoS introduce new bespoke elements to 

the Sarek collection

Sarek Akka marked a return to traditional uncolored Damascus steel in the GoS Sarek collection when it was introduced in 2017. It was also the first model to feature a counter weight in damascus steel and is now the first to feature two new options of bespoke elements, a handsculped damascus steel crown and made-to-order straps with a new GoS deployant buckle.

GoS has made crowns in handsculpted damascus steel ever since the first GoS watches more than 10 years ago. The Sarek collection introduced a new crown shape in 2016 which was inspired by Viking sword hilts.

This design has been further developed into the damascus steel crowns of the Viking watch Väring and is now also available as an option for the Sarek collection. The crown is handsculpted from stainless damascus steel that has been forged to a density which results in a pattern with lines thinner than those of a fingerprint.

Sarek Akka – with bespoke strap and crown

GoS watch straps normally are made from moose leather that we source ourselves. However, the Sarek collections dress watch qualities are sometimes better matched with a tapered strap in a more glossy leather.

We now offer alternatives to further personalize the watch in both leather qualities and stitching to match or contrast the dial´s color range. The GoS 20mm deployant buckle is Swiss made and supplier´s patented and elegant snap lock mechanism has been proven to be flawless by major premium watch brands.

Sarek Akka

The main source of inspiration for the monochrome Sarek Akka was found in the most impressive massif of Swedish Lapland – Akka. Akka is located just north of Sarek and is often referred to as "The Queen of Lapland" since Akka means "grandmother" or "goddess" in Saami language.

The massif is surrounded by low growing mountain Birch, which is illustrated by scroll engravings on the watch bezel. This detailed engraving is made by master engraver Stanley Stoltz who is a legend among knife and rifle collectors.

The Sarek chapter ring and the case ring both draw inspiration from authentic Viking bracelets and brooches. Sarek is also the first GoS model to feature the new GoS crown, which is shaped much like the form of a Viking sword hilt.

The neck of the GoS crown is deeply recessed into the case, thereby securing the crown and mechanism from side impacts. The hands are high gloss polished in a Dauphine finish with a center ridge which bears a closer resemblance to the Viking arrow and spear heads that inspired the first GoS hands.

The Sarek is powered by a Soprod A10 movement that has been customized with a GoS triskele rotor.

The dark GoS rotor has a circular satinization as finish and is equipped with an additional counter weight made from Damascus steel. The counter weight is finished for maximum contrasts on the surface and high gloss polished bevels.

The watch is mounted on a soft cylindrical pillow made from reindeer suede which is secured inside the box.

About the photos: The main photo of the Sarek Akka is by renowned photographer Johan Annerfelt and feature the watch on top of Johan Gustafsson´s anvil where the pattern of the dial was once shaped. Johan used glowing steel as a light source which is why there is a yellow/orange nuance.

Note: Like all GoS watches, every Sarek Akka dial has a unique pattern but all with the same character. GoS will present dials for selection when ordering a Sarek directly from the workshop.
