The Argonautic Bronze comes in a limited edition of only 300 timepieces. Once again, Swiss watchmaker DAVOSA displays its expertise in making a watch with intricate mechanical features. While a helium valve, the use of high-tech ceramics and a sophisticated automatic movement ensure high levels of safety and precision when diving.

When it comes to safety, quality and design, the timepiece certainly fulfils all the requirements of a first-class divers’ watch. At the heart of the watch resides a Swiss Sellita SW200 precision automatic movement, housed in a bronze case with a diameter of 42 mm and height of 13.5 mm.

Anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a screwed crown complete the look. An elaborate relief of a stylised diving helmet with a water surround decorates the screw-down, black

PVD-plated, stainless steel back and indicates that the watch is part of a limited edition.

Made for deep waters

The hands, indices and the satined or polished bezel inlay made from high-tech ceramic and detailed with vintage, ‘old radium’ Super-Luminova team up beautifully with the colour play of the bronze and plated stainless steel. In combination with the clearly structured, either blue or black dial, a glance suffices to instantly grasp all important information. Finally, the DAVOSA Argonautic Bronze is a professional divers’ watch, offering water resistance down to 300 metres where light is scarce.

And thanks to a manual helium valve, you can rely fully on the DAVOSA Argonautic Bronze when resurfacing: with an open valve, the lighter helium molecules leave the case first, thus preventing the glass and seal from pushing out of the case as a result of excess pressure. Diving and resurfacing times can be set precisely using the rotatable bezel ring, making you perfectly prepared for every dive.

2018 (GLOBAL) – MR PORTER, the award-winning online destination for men’s style, is pleased to announce it has partnered with Swiss fine-watch manufacturer Zenith and British watch customiser Bamford Watch Department in creating an exclusive 25-piece limited-edition watch, available for sale on 15 November 2018.

Mr George Bamford and his team worked alongside Zenith in the design of this watch, which was then entirely developed and produced in-house at Zenith’s Manufacture. Co-creating a project and product of this nature is a first for all three partners in this undertaking.

Based on the Zenith Heritage 146 model, the watch takes cues from several of the brand’s historical design elements. These subtle touches include the tachymeter inspired by a 1971 El Primero, a red seconds hand, aesthetic reminders of a vintage chronograph case and centric sub-dial rings hark back to the old Zenith recorder tell-tales and motion detecting clock.

Its unique “Solar Blue” dial is framed by a 38mm stainless steel case, fitted with a navy blue Alcantara strap featuring white stitching designed to complement the white dial markings. Combining all of these various touchpoints, Zenith, Bamford Watch Department and MR PORTER have created a watch that is both familiar and yet altogether modern and new.

Each of these limited-edition watches will feature a special open case-back engraved and individually numbered one to 25.
