De Bethun - DBS

The model is not new, but I really like this watch ..

A dream to behold, the DBS is a watch for the man who is only satisfied with the best. The semi-skeletal, hand decorated De Bethune reverse Côte de Genéve complex dial allows for full appreciation of the advanced technology this watch houses.

• The unique patented De Bethune titanium/platinum balance with curved terminal plate protected by the triple pare-chute system offering perfect centring and ease of fixation, so avoiding the delicate regulation needed by ordinary watches.
• The patented De Bethune self‐adjusting double barrels, specially designed to eliminate friction and to transmit the maximum amount of energy at optimum efficiency.
• The patented 3-dimensional De Bethune moon phase rotating on its own axis.

TAG Heuer - Formula 1

TAG Heuer - Formula 1

TAG Heuer has released a preview of their new Formula 1 collection which will be officially presented at Baselworld 2012 in March. The new collection consists of 3-hand, chronograph and alarm models.

Originally introduced in 1986, the first Formula 1 collection used fiberglass-coated cases and mineral glass crystal. The current collection uses much more premium stainless steel cases with brushed and polished surfaces, and sapphire crystal glass.

Depending on the model: titanium-carbide coated steel or stainless steel with aluminium/ ceramic insert. The models with a titanium-carbide coated bezel have a matching black crown, while the stainless steel models have a polished stainless steel crowns. Bezels are fixed and the chronograph and alarm and rotating on the 3-hand models.

All Formula 1 models come in 42 mm diameter cases and use Ronda quartz movements, a move away from ETA. Hands are classic polished sword hands and dials come in either black or white. All models are water resistant to 200 meters.
