The freelancer Pop Bi-Compax Chronograph Limited Edition, aptly named to evoke a visual symphony, exudes the essence of joy and camaraderie found in live musical performances. With hints of turquoise adorning the dial, bezel and oscillating weight, this remarkable design infuses the renowned freelancer chronograph collection with an electrifying burst of creative energy.

The 43.5mm titanium case with a black ceramic tachymeter bezel features all the hallmarks of a RAYMOND WEIL chronograph; RW5030 automatic movement, 56-hour power reserve and screwed-down and fluted with RW monogram to the crown.

The black gradient dial serves as the perfect canvas for the turquoise accents of the chronograph and pulsometer counters, delivering a captivating pop of colour on the wrist. The symmetrical Bi-Compax layout features a 30-minute chronograph counter and a small seconds display, while the generously proportioned hour and minute hands, complemented by nickel-plated indexes enhanced with white Super-Luminova®, ensure optimal readability. Positioned at 6 o’clock, a date window contributes to the overall symmetry of the dial. The 5-row titanium bracelet completes the timepiece’s lightweight and ergonomic construction.

Carl F. Bucherer presents a one-of-a-kind Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral timepiece created for the Only Watch 2023 charity auction.

This unique model features a high-tech, forged carbon case. Lighter and stronger than steel it boasts a distinctive carbon flecked black marbled appearance with an urban feel. It is complemented by an almost completely all black line up of components.

Neither mounted in the movement’s main plate nor attached to a bridge, this tourbillon is supported peripherally by three ceramic bearings and appears to float in space – it is one of the brand’s most intricate achievements. From the reverse, viewed through the sapphire crystal case back, another flash of color: the oscillating weight of a peripherally mounted automatic winding system has been finished in the same vibrant green.

A domed, matt black dial is complemented with anthracite wedge hands and wedge index marks at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, offering subtle contrasts of color for a minimalist design. A black, hybrid rubber strap matches the carbon aesthetic of the case. This dark appearance is vividly offset by select components finished in a striking hue that matches the color of the Only Watch logo.

From the front, a flash of color at 12 o’clock highlights CFB’s signature “floating” tourbillon – its second hand and cage arms executed in an eye-catching green. Neither mounted in the movement’s main-plate nor attached to a bridge, this shock-proof tourbillon is peripherally supported by three ceramic bearings and appears to float in space – it is one of the brand’s most intricate achievements.

Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the oscillating weight of a peripherally mounted automatic winding system has been finished in the same vibrant green. With black-coated bridges and gray engravings, the only other colors come from gemstones visible in the 33-jewel movement.

This Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral Only Watch comes with the addition of a inner green bezel and 18K white gold hour-markers and hands, both filled with luminescent coating for optimum visibility in the dark. A special oscillating weight in 22K gold has also been colored with the same green and rhodium tones for a sleek and modern look. 

 Only Watch was established in 2005 by Luc Pettavino, then the CEO of the Monaco Yacht Show, whose son, Paul, suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The last time the auction took place, in 2021, it raised CHF 30 million for research into the disease.

This year’s auction will take place on November 5, 2023, at 14:00 (CET), at the PALEXPO convention center in Geneva, Switzerland, alongside other unique examples contributed from across the high-end watchmaking industry. Before the auction, the full collection goes on a world tour, to generate interest among international watch aficionados in key markets.

The successful bidder will be invited on a tour of our manufacturing facilities in Lengnau, Switzerland.
