gives a 21st century twist to a classic repertoire.

Curved along two axes in a “tonneau” or barrel shape ensuring a perfect fit on the wrist, Héritage timepieces are the epitome of technical mastery. This year, Breguet sought out to broaden the range of complications with the Héritage Grande Date 5410 model. The keenly appreciated date indication enthroned at 12 o’clock enlivens a finely crafted silvered gold face reflecting the double curvature of the case.

Delicate engine-turned motifs create a wealth of structural and depth effects that both highlight and delineate the other functions of the model and thus ensure enhanced legibility. The chapter ring, bearing large transferred Roman numerals coated with a luminescent substance, surrounds the minute scale. These indications are complemented by a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock.

The new Héritage Grande Date 5410 model houses Calibre 5166, a movement endowed with the technological innovations in the field of materials achieved by Breguet over the past years. A silicon balance-spring notably enhances the model’s performance, endowing it with exceptional precision and reliability.

Clothed in 18-carat rose or white gold, the 45 x 32 mm Héritage Grande Date 5410 timepiece rounds out the collection composed of both men’s and ladies’ models. The large date thus joins existing complications such as a chronograph, a tourbillon and a retrograde moon phase.

Located in Saint-Imier, where the winged hourglass brand had its start in 1832, the Longines Museum is filled with treasures synonymous with the brand’s rich know-how. It is here that the brand draws inspiration from its Historic collection, as a tribute to its long watchmaking tradition. So was born The Longines Heritage 1969, a piece with a vintage design echoing the lines of a watch created in the late 1960s.

LONGINES – HERITAGE 1969 the Longines Museum in Saint-Imier, served as an inspiration for The Longines Heritage 1969 ORIGINAL

At the time, this model was available in steel, gold plating and 18 karat gold. For its reissue, a steel case has been selected and elegantly combined with a brushed silvery dial adorned with 12 pink applique indexes.  The hands, which are also pink, mark the hours, minutes and seconds while providing optimal readability. As it was on the original model, the date aperture is positioned at 4:30.

This understated and refined timepiece features a 36 x 36 mm case suitable for the wrists of both men and women. The Longines Heritage 1969 owes its charm and originality to a superb cushion-shaped case enhanced by a box-form crystal.
