With the one-of-a-kind Maître Cabinotier Perpetual Calendar Regulator, Vacheron Constantin showcases its expertise in creating original and exclusive calibers providing a highly specific time read-off. This exceptional timepiece is distinguished by its regulator-type display, inspired by the precision clocks used to adjust watches from the 17 th century onwards. Along with this dissociated display of the hours and minutes, the 2460 RQP movement specially designed for this model also drives a major horological complication: the perpetual calendar. An elegant hand-guilloché dial accentuates the exclusive nature of this watch certified by the Hallmark of Geneva, crafted in keeping with the spirit of the 18 th century Geneva cabinotiers.

Presented as part of Vacheron Constantin’s Maître Cabinotier collection composed of exclusive timepieces, the Perpetual Calendar Regulator watch features a specific regulator-type time display. Its mechanical self-winding movement, Caliber 2460 RQP, was developed, designed and assembled by the master-watchmakers of the Manufacture so as to offer a distinctive reading of the hours and minutes that effectively complements the perpetual calendar functions. The dissociated indication of the hours and minutes, ensuring immediate legibility, is inspired by the regulator-type clock that were used to adjust watches from the late 17 th century onwards. Also called “master clocks”, these high-precision timekeeping instruments served as a point of reference in the watchmaking workshops and astronomical observatories of the time.

Precision and legibility at the heart of a distinctive display

Born of the expertise nurtured by the master-watchmakers of the Manufacture Vacheron Constantin, this unique creation features a characteristic display of the hours and minutes, inspired by the regulator clocks that first appeared in the 17 th century. With the Maître Cabinotier Perpetual Calendar Regulator model, Vacheron Constantin reinterprets this characteristic layout in an exquisitely refined contemporary spirit. The gold dial adorned with an opaline brown finish and a hand-guilloché motif provides a dissociated reading of time, swept over by slender leaf-type hands, “clous de Paris” hour-markers and Roman numerals. The fine guilloché pattern, epitomising the savoir-faire and creativity cultivated by Vacheron Constantin the domain of artistic crafts, calls for finishing work that is up to four times longer to perform and more demanding than on traditional dials. Complementing the regulator-type display of the hours and minutes, the perpetual calendar and the moon phases appear on a snailed counter at 6 o’clock, while the pink gold moon and silver dust stars are sprinkled across this gently spiralling finish.

The pink gold-rimmed day of the week and month apertures appear on either side of the offset hours counter at 12 o’clock. The various types of finish – guilloché, opaline, snailed and circular satin-finished – along with the alternating presence of applied hour-markers, Roman and Arabic numerals, combine to ensure excellent readability of each separate indication. This distinctively designed dial frames a 42 mm-diameter pink gold case that is water-resistant to 30 metres and topped by a concave bezel that accentuates the overall impressionof slenderness.

Combining sophisticated technical content, contemporary design and delicate touches of artistic craftsmanship, the Maître Cabinotier Perpetual Calendar Regulator houses an exceptional mechanical heart. The new Caliber 2460 RQP was specially designed and developed by the master- watchmakers of the Manufacture in order to provide a regulator-type display of the hours and minutes. These indications are driven by a complex mechanism and the combination of complexity and original hour display has become an authentic brand signature. Its inherent originality is enriched by one of the most prestigious horological complications: the perpetual calendar, indicating the day of the week, the month, the date, leap years and moon phases. Comprising 334 carefully decorated components, this exclusive ‘motor’ beats at the frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and ensures a 40-hour power reserve.

The aura of natural distinction exuded by this timepiece is matched by an alligator Mississippiensis leather strap in a shade echoing that of the brown dial. Hand-sewn and featuring large square scales, it is fastened by a triple-blade pink gold folding clasp adorned with a polished half Maltese Cross. Manuel Neuhaus, born in 1959 in Hamburg, Germany, he starts a ”regular“ school career, but decides to abandon high school during tenth grade and become a photographer instead.

After apprenticeship he works several years as a freelance painter and designer, but for all that earns his living during night shifts with one of Munich´s first graphic computers. Some years and two computer graphic companies later he decides to become self-employed in 1992.

After long-term and up to this day very successful activity as a media designer, in 2007 he starts to become interested in watches and, very soon, also for their design and especially in watch face design. First concepts are drawn. In 2008 he visits the Basel World and as a result the idea of creating an own brand for a new watch line rises.

In January 2010, NEUHAUS Inventing Timepieces was launched. The company represents quality, innovation and unconventional solutions. Neuhaus: ”Before producing watches all about, we prefer not making any.“

German watch brand Neuhaus presents a new version Limited Edition of their extraordinary JANUS DoubleSpeed-Sport ROMAN mono-hand watch with a black dial with the Roman figures.

The small but fine watch brand NEUHAUS Timepieces presented at this year's Munich Time before a new model of their JANUS collection. It involves one-hand watches, which run at twice the speed and are therefore read much better. The new JANUS called Double SpeedSport and comes with a high quality PVD coated black casing. The accompanying Milanaise band is also coated pitch-black and to obtain in this version only with NEUHAUS. Alternatively, there is a black silicone tape. If even black but then really, it was thought at NEUHAUS and donated the clock a rare, also completely black coated ETA Unitas factory (6498).

The sporty character is the new model not only visually accessible, but also by the depth doubled to 100 meters or 10 ATM. Like all watches in NEUHAUS is strictly limited and ours. There will be only 99 pieces of them worldwide. The eye-catching clock has a high quality finish and is exclusively produced in Germany. She has the same unusual features as her sister models. One of the mayor defining features of course is the NEUHAUS logo inside the watch. It is designed in a noble 3D effect in shiny silver. The reversed N causes a petite aha-effect. Like this, the company already uses its logo the present its objectives.

Dial with running indication and night vision

JANUS DoubleSpeedSport´s top guideline is to keep watches suitable for every day´s use. It has an optimally designed face with easily legible numbers, coated with white superluminova colour which luminaires bluish in nightview..
There is also an additional ring with luminous indexing for quarter-, half- and complete hours. The ring is made of matt steel, the white colour can only be seen properly when really needed - in night vision. The watch ows its name to this ”two-faced“ visual appearance: JANUS.

Acceleration instead of deceleration

The JANUS Double Speed-Sport is an innovative mono hand watch which runs at double speed, meaning that the indicator goes round the complete clockface in only six hours.

As a result, the available space indicating one hour, is doubled from 30 to 60 degrees. improving the preciseness of time reading drastically. Put into practise, this means virtually down-to-the-minute exact indication of time. In this sense, the Double-Speed is the most accurate mono handed watch in the world, that is to say the most exact readable.zeiger-uhr der Welt, nämlich die am genauesten ablesbare.
Like in real life, good things do not go cheap. The owner of the time piece not only needs to know if it is e.g. 7am or 7pm, like with any normal watch. But he will also need to differ between 7am or 1pm. The difference turns out to be only 6 hours. Nevertheless, most people probably are in the position to handle this technique.

Design

A simple und functional appearance is beautiful all by itself - and a brilliant design is not the replacement but always the consequence of function.
According to this maxim, we design our NEUHAUS watches. A collection must be self-contained, coherent and consistent. We dislike overlapping brand designs, where all watches look the same.

Literally the grand classic amongst modern handwinding movements. 36,6 mm diameter, the perfect match for our large watch.
Why handwinding? Each morning you wind up your watch and put it on, it is like you had a chat with it, you feel its inner workings and sensitivities and creates a connection. What is more, with our crown the winding up will become one of your favourite activities.
Each movement is taken apart seperately and modified to DoubleSpeed. Therefore we manufacture completely new hands, connecting all new parts. Then we verify faultless functioning and put together all parts.

Certificate
The back of each watch leaving our house has engraved the year of creation, a design model number as well as a continuous serial number which we memorise together with the name of our client. In addition, every watch is consigned with an authenticity certificate containing the same information.

The JANUS DoubleSpeed-Sport with black dial is limited to 99 pieces worldwide. Every watch is delivered with an engraved consecutive numbering and a certificate of authenticity.

The price of the clock is only slightly higher than that for the standard model. It costs € 2740.- with black Milanaise band and 2590 €.-  with silicone band and is getting only directly via the Internet Page
