HAMILTON – Intra-Matic 68 Chronograph Edition

HAMILTONIntra-Matic 68 Chronograph Steel 42 mm Limited Edition

A limited edition inspired by the historical Chronograph B of 1968 and
known by connoisseurs for its black and white reversed “panda” dial.

In 1968 Hamilton presented two new timepieces among others, the Chronograph A with black subdials on a white dial, and the Chronograph B with two white subdials lying against a black background, creating a “reverse panda” face. This type of dial design was very popular in the 60s and 70s, crossing the ages until this day with perhaps more fans than before. A strong character watch with a clean and monochrome design, and highly valued today by collectors.

Great attention to detail was a key request for the new Intra-Matic 68 Auto Chrono, and many elements have almost remained untouched. The dial in particular stays true to the “reverse” panda face of the timepiece’s origins, and is circled by a white tachymeter scale. Black and white seems to be the overall theme of the watch, with the date on a dark background, a snowy white central chronograph seconds hand and black lacquered counter hands. Inside the polished stainless steel case is the automatic H-31 movement and its 60-hour power reserve, a technical extension most welcome in today’s busy lives. Additional parts that have been adapted to present taste include a 42mm case, bigger than its predecessor, and Super-LumiNova® coating on the hour and minute hands for higher legibility.

True to its origin

Sure to delight Hamilton aficionados and collectors alike, the Intra-Matic 68 Auto Chrono emulates that of its illustrious inspiration with vintage-feel pushers placed on each side of the crowns and the same solid stainless steel case back. This overall retro character and sense of heritage is further accentuated by a domed-shape dial and curved hands. The black calf leather strap is a cut-edge type, which uses the most traditional strap-production techniques, and is gently perforated for a 60’s-style sporty touch.

An ideal companion for individuals of character with a taste for vintage charm and watchmaking heritage, the 1,968-piece limited edition Intra-Matic 68 comes with a special luxury packaging as the ultimate finishing touch.

HAMILTON – Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono Black

HAMILTONKhaki Aviation X-Wind Auto Chrono Black PVD Steel 45 mm

Hamilton’s Khaki Aviation X-Wind line heads for new heights as the brand launches a new interpretation of its iconic X-Wind collection.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

It was a Hamilton watch used on the first US postal service flight between Washington and New York, so aviation is nothing new to the brand whose prestigious aviation heritage dates back to 1919 and has included the rank of official supplier to the US Armed Forces since 1914. Geared toward the skyward bound, working with leading air squadrons and world famous pilots, Hamilton’s Khaki Aviation line is renowned for providing classic aviator styling and functions specific to pilots’ needs. Bursting with character rooted in aviation and the instruments that guide it, immeasurably technical and painstakingly precise, the big, aggressive Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono is no exception to this rule.

Click, to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Racy black PVD decor underscores the line’s close ties with aviation, emphasizing its reputation for precision and technicity. A black leather strap is the finishing touch to the dark good looks of the new generation Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono which sports a robust 45 mm diameter with five characteristically chunky side elements in the form of an X and contrasting silver detail.

A place in another league

It goes without saying that the stainless steel with black PVD coating case of the latest iteration of the Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono naturally houses what really sets the X-Wind apart: one of the world’s first drift angle calculator in a watch. This enables pilots to accurately calculate and record the crosswinds they will encounter on their planned journey. Water-resistant to 10 bars (100 meters), the Khaki X-Wind Auto Chrono is powered by a Swiss ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph movement that has been modified into the Hamilton caliber H-21 – upping the power reserve to an appropriately muscular 60 hours.

Each of the three counters feature stylized metal overlays complemented by two-tone brushed metal detailing around the day and date aperture at 9 o’clock, resulting in a singularly industrial look with a fascinating 3D effect.

With the transparency of a perfect love affair, the Jazzmaster Open Heart Lady exudes a magical sense of suspension and depth, leveraging exceptional mother-of-pearl craftsmanship. Here, a raised mother-of-pearl lotus takes center stage on an iridescent backdrop, giving the effect of a fresh, light 3-D flower floating on water. This is artfully developed with the use of a soft linden green or pristine white strap featuring a super practical easy-click system, or a gleaming five-row metal counterpart picking up the sheen of the mother-of-pearl.

The softly rounded curves of the Jazzmaster Open Heart Lady are further emphasized by a satin-brushed polished case and open dial with diamond cut bevel edge. HAMILTON - JazzMaster Thinline Gold

HAMILTONJazzMaster Thinline Gold Limited Edition NEW

Hamilton goes for gold

Hamilton is going for gold in 2016 with the launch of the Hamilton Jazzmaster Thinline Gold, an elegant new version on the Jazzmaster theme strikes a new chord with the warm glow of the quintessential precious metal.

Gold is an age-old symbol of perfection and refinement, vitality and radiance. In 2016, the brand reputed for American spirit and Swiss precision renews a proud tradition.  Enter Jazzmaster Thinline Gold – giving a brilliantly timeless, reinforced identity to the iconic Jazzmaster line. It also represents a spot-on response to the market interest in a slimmer, sleeker automatic gold watch. This is a radiant new gold iteration of a line reputed for its classic, yet contemporary timepieces with clean, streamlined looks. It also offers a glowing example of how Jazzmaster models have earned their reputation for ensuring a seamless transition from the office to evening events.

A vintage golden touch

Hamilton and gold have a history. The brand’s affinities with the metal known to the ancient Romans as Aurum – or shining dawn – date back nearly a century to 1923 when two models were produced. The first was a Cushion model, of which just four were made, in 18kt yellow gold, 14kt white gold and 14kt green gold. Subsequent Hamilton watches from this “golden” era include the famous 18kt “Piping Rock” in 1928.*

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...             BIG FOTO

Living up to its name
The Jazzmaster collection fully lives up to its evocative name. It masters the art of offering infinite variations on its chosen themes. Its light and airy “improvisations” are backed by rock-solid expertise and technical prowess. The Hamilton Jazzmaster Thinline Gold, with its 18kt pink gold 40 mm case water-resistant to 3 bar, is the latest interpretation of a long line of themes combining innovation and modernity.

This watch artfully combines a timeless, silver-toned dial, lightly domed around the edge, with raised, applied indexes and razor-edge dauphine-shaped hands. The highly legible 6 o’clock date display is an unusual and much-appreciated feature on ultra-thin mechanical watches. Setting the perfect signature touch to this timepiece embodying classic yet contemporary elegance, the brand’s thoroughly current new H symbol adorns both dial and crown. And for those who like to look at time from both sides, the mechanical automatic movement can be admired in action through the exhibition case-back.

The quintessential refinement of this exceptional piece culminates in a subtly retro fine-grain hand-sewn black calf leather strap. The latter is secured to the case by the collection’s distinctively designed lugs.  Issued in an exclusive limited edition of 1892 in tribute to the Hamilton founding date, the Jazzmaster Thinline Gold is the epitome of restrained elegance. It is bound to find its mark among men of good taste and watch lovers to whom Jazzmaster models prove especially irresistible.

HAMILTON – Khaki Takeoff Limited Edition

HAMILTON KHAKI Takeoff Chronograph Limited Edition NEW

Hamilton has unveiled a new limited edition pilots’ watch inspired by its aviation history, the Hamilton Khaki Takeoff Auto Chrono.
Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...      BIG FOTO

The watch, which has a black PVD case, takes its design cues from an elapsed-time clock that Hamilton produced during World War II.

The Hamilton Khaki Takeoff Auto Chrono Limited Edition is distinguished not only by the dashboard-clock aesthetic of its dial but by its detachable design: the watch can be easily removed from its black leather strap and installed in a special wooden presentation box with printed aviation references such “No Step” and “Pull to Open.” While the watch is in the presentation box, it resembles its World-War II-era predecessor, which was at the time considered the most complicated aircraft clock.

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...      BIG FOTO

This contemporary Hamilton pilots’ watch is equipped with a bidirectional turning reflector and flange, driven by the bezel, which can be used for a countdown. Another simple turning action is used to separate the 46.3-mm case, made of stainless steel and coated with black PVD, from its strap, which has a structured rubber lining and can be stowed at the bottom of the presentation box when not in use. The box’s surface has visible aluminum rivets and plates as well as four contemporary “instruments” to complement the watch and complete the instrument panel look; Hamilton refers to the whole ensemble as a “portable cockpit.”

The Hamilton Khaki Takeoff Auto Chrono Limited Edition contains Hamilton’s proprietary H-31 caliber, with chronograph functions and 60-hour power reserve.

The predominantly black dial has contrasting yellow details, and the hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova. The hands are in the classical pilots’-watch style and the central chronograph hand is tipped with an airplane-shaped pointer. In another nod to historical timekeepers, the crown is positioned at 12 o’clock, with the chrono pushers on either side. The watch is limited to 1,999 numbered pieces.

HAMILTON – Flintridge Lady & Gent Edition

HAMILTON Flintridge Lady & Gent Limited Edition NEW

Endless “Me time”
The Hamilton Flintridge is bound to secrecy

“Me time” is a given with the new Flintridge, inspired by a 1930s Hamilton sports watch with a protective cover. Today’s wearers safeguard their own time with an intricately decorated folding flap ensuring the dial is for their eyes only. Strategically placed small openings suggest that a peek inside could be worthwhile but never reveal the full picture. The original watch was the exclusive property of sportsmen destined for the great, dusty and damp outdoors. In the twenty-first century the Hamilton Flintridge is available as a male or a female limited edition piece. It remains to be seen which one is best at keeping secrets…

Click on the mouse wheel to see the large size ...

Hamilton Flintridge Gent

At first glance the closed Flintridge Gent reminds of an intricate 1930s radio microphone – the lasting message is clearly about exquisite contemporary watchmaking. The cover hosts a Clous de Paris pattern, interrupted only by two peepholes for the day and date, plus an embossed logo. Raising the “lid” reveals a silver-colored dial, also with a stamped Clous de Paris centerpiece, and dauphine-shaped, polished hands.

A further hidden treasure is the H-40 movement with 80 hours of typical power reserve, visible through the case back. Giving today’s Flintridge an unmistakably modern air is the layered architecture of the case with the distinctive finishes of its various surfaces. Its soave signature is a grey leather strap. Only 999 savvy gents will have access to this exclusive “me time” since the new watch is a limited edition.

HAMILTON - Khaki Pilot Pioneer Auto Chrono

HAMILTON - Khaki PILOT Pioneer Auto Chrono NEW

Destination imagination
(Baselworld 2013) Hamilton has been fuelling its expertise in creating aviators’ timepieces since 1919. This mix of a pioneering heritage and technological innovation is again prominent on the brand’s radar screen in 2013, in the form of the Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer Auto Chrono

Rugged meets glamorous in this Swiss made automatic chronograph that accurately reflects the values of freedom, discovery and adventure. Runways of both types confirm that aviation watches count as treasured equipment and the Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer Auto Chrono is set to skillfully copilot men of style and action.

Timekeeper of dreams
The true appeal of a pilots’ watch gravitates towards its capacity to fulfill the purpose of a vehicle of dreams. In both design and functionality, the Hamilton Khaki Pilot Auto Chrono dedicates all of its power to uniting the aspirational quality associated with flight, man’s oldest dream, with down-to-earth reliability, robustness and wearability. Inspired by Hamilton timepieces created in the 1970s for the British Royal Air Force, the design team chose clean styling to showcase the new watch’s appealing materials and easy-to-use timekeeping competence.

The numbers on the dial are bold to facilitate fast easy reading, and Super-LumiNova® hour indices help in the dark. They are white on the rugged black dial and black against the alternative ivory-colored background. Sandblasted elements on the case remain true to the pioneering aviation roots of the design, protecting the wearer against distracting reflected sunlight, inside and outside the cockpit environment. A variety of style statements for today’s action lovers get clearance for take-off from a wide choice of attachments, embracing stainless steel, black leather and a selection of textile straps, including a very appropriate military kaki option.

New heights in technology and styling
Hamilton is a proven preferred supplier to aviation heroes, with its wearer list spanning from Admiral Byrd, who flew over both Poles in the 1920s with a Hamilton 992 keeping him on track, to aerobatic champion and Hamilton ambassador, Nicolas Ivanoff. Today’s passionate pilots and aviation aficionados have equally high performance expectations of their timepieces - and even higher ones on the aesthetics front.

 BIG FOTO

The Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer Auto Chrono is powered by the newly developed, propriety H-31 movement. Stemming from the Valjoux 7753, this offers optimal accuracy, stability and power reserve, and can be seen in its full beauty through the open case-back. An elegant asymmetrical case integrates a protected crown and pushers.

And just like the glass of its highly respected 1970s ancestors, the sapphire crystal is strongly domed. This aviation timepiece is ready for take-off from both types of runway, whether its owner requires reliable timekeeping in the sky, or a complement to trendy bomber jackets, pilots’ eyewear and military details. The sky is the limit on both counts.

Hamilton
was founded in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA. Hamilton watches combine the American spirit with the unrivalled precision of the latest Swiss movements and technologies. Known for its innovative design, Hamilton has a strong foothold in Hollywood, with products appearing in 400 films. The brand also boasts a strong aviation heritage. Hamilton is a member of the Swatch group, the largest watch manufacturer and distributor in the world with 160 production sites in Switzerland.

Hamilton and Aviation
Hamilton has been timing the skies since 1919, when the pioneering pilots of the era put their trust in the precision of its watches and navigation instruments. In addition to keeping the first American airmail service on track, Hamilton became the official watch of TWA, Eastern, United and Northwest in the 1930s

Adventure joined accuracy as these instruments demonstrated their unrivalled expertise ‘co-piloting’ expeditions with destinations as challenging as the South Pole, and partnering the first American coast to coast air services which took commercial flying into the modern age. Today Hamilton is official timekeeper of a variety of international aviation events such as the EAA AirVenture at Oshkosh, USA, otherwise known as the world’s greatest aviation celebration. In 2013 it also will be official partner of the unique Free Flight World Masters Tour in France and Tannkosh Germany.
