The strap and packaging of the watch are made with sustainability in mind. The anthracite-coloured synthetic strap is made from #tide ocean material®. The name says it all: plastic waste harvested from the oceans is upcycled into robust, high-quality watch straps. The watch packaging is black and gold and is comprised of environmentally friendly cardboard, which is easily recycled.

The revelation of a new design

The DS Powermatic 80 is inspired by the popular DS Chronograph Automatic from the year 2020. Unlike its big brother, however, the new three-hander features a 40 mm case in pure stainless steel or with a rose gold PVD or yellow gold PVD finish. A sapphire box glass offers optimal views of the dial and evokes memories of historic timepieces.

The finely worked hands contribute to the vintage impression: the slim, classic blued seconds hand and the Super-LumiNova® coated minute and hour hands. The lightly domed dials are in luminous white, shimmering gold, or dark blue, green or brown with a refined sunburst finish.

This Chronograph is in a class of its own. Certina has poured its more than 130 years of experience in the art of Swiss watchmaking into a unique timepiece. Noble. Classic. Sophisticated. The DS Chronograph Automatic has it all – inside and out. Its precious movement is an advanced development of the famous Valjoux 7753. The automatic movement's innovative silicon balance spring has a particularly regular beat and remains immune to abrupt changes in temperature and to magnetic fields. Given the famous Double Security (DS) Concept and the new model's comfortable 60-hour power reserve, the wearer can always count on its accuracy.

The DS Chronograph Automatic offers an absolutely first-class appearance as well, its classic lines inspired by a Certina model from the 1940s. The similarities are evident: the convex, silver-coloured dial with the lightly curved blue hands, for example, is a characteristic feature of classic, high-end wristwatches.

The watch glass is perfectly complementary: finely finished, it offers superb views from all sides. In 2020 the glass is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and mounted on a 42-mm stainless steel case.

New Timepiece with Style and Depth

Elegant and functional, innovative and mindful of tradition: the latest incarnation of the DS PH200M has many facets. Its appearance is now enhanced by a ceramic bezel and sapphire crystals front and back, while the movement within features an anti-magnetic Nivachron™ balance spring for improved resistance.

But at heart it remains true to the 2018 model of the same name: as the successor to a historic timepiece with a marked underwater affinity, the new model is equally committed to its underwater connection.

With this version of the DS PH200M, the 42.8 mm stainless steel case is enhanced by a convex rotating bezel in dark blue ceramic with a gold-colored scale. Super-LumiNova® highlights on the dark blue dial, the hands and the bezel provide orientation even when visibility is poor.

The watch is worn with a gray-blue NATO strap. Alternative versions present a black bezel, a black PVD case, a brown calfskin strap or a Milanese bracelet. Thanks to a quick-change system the straps can be removed easily.

Clear, clean lines

Stylish and functional at the same time - the DS Caimano Chronograph impresses with external and internal value. The clear, minimalist design is characterized by geometric forms.

The round, 42-mm case in stainless steel or titanium encloses a blue, black or white dial with sunray finish. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal, long hands and refined rod indexes along with Arabic numerals ensure excellent readability, guaranteed even in the dark thanks to their Super-LumiNova coating. The DS-1 Big Date 60th Anniversary presents a dark green dial enhanced by the classic elegance of a Milanese bracelet.
