This new tool-watch for Bell&Ross divers, limited to 500 pieces, plays оп the effect of highlighting only the contours, much like a neon outline. A minimalist, highly functional vision of light.

Bold and powerful, the new BR-03 Diver Lum Outline asserts the core lines of the Lum concept with an original twist: it highlights just the outlines. "Like the neon of an illuminate dsign, the green Super-LumiNova® traces and lights up the contours of the hands and indices. It's as if we'd drawn this dial with a green highlighter on matte black paper. In the dark, the hour markers are perfectly legible. Here, photoluminescenceis a visual signature that's both useful and decorative, day and night," explains Bruno Belamich.

LUMINESCENC A BRAND EXPERTISE

Offering optimal readability by day and night, luminescence has been at the heart of Bel1& Ross creations since the brand's inception. Initially confined to a practical role, it first appeared in the 1930S with the use of radium. But because of its radioactivity and its limited duration of glow, safek longer-lasting technologies were sought.

 The arrival of Super-LumiNova® in 1993 marked a major milestone. Eager to push further, Bell&Ross developed an original concept to amplify luminous power. Launched with the BR 03-92 Horolum in 2017 and followed by the BR 03-92 Nightlum a year lateg the Lum series is defined by the exceptional glow of its numerals, indices, and hands. In 2019, the BR 03-92 Full Lum went further still, featuring a dial entirely coated in Super-LumiNova® that lights up by contrast.

Playing with chromatic effects, the maison unveiled the BR 03-92 Grey Lum in 2020, emitting an intense green glow reminiscent of runway lighting, then the BR 03-92 Diver Full Lum, combining two shades of luminescence light green and pale yellow on its dial. In 2021, the limited-edition vintage BRV2-94 FullLum offered a new stylistic take, proving the Full Lum concept could marry perfectly with the refined aesthetics of classic watches.  In 2022, the BRV2-92 Full Lum delivered an ultra-luminous interpretation for a three-hand watch, while the BR-X5 Green Lum introduced an unprecedented luminescent case construction, pairing titanium with the photoluminescent LM3D composite. Today, Bell&Ross continues this creative journey with a fresh approach: the BR-03 Diver Lum Outline.

AN OUTLINED DIAL

Whatever the creative approach, a Bell&Ross watch's design is always guided by the requirement of perfect legibility. Underwater or at high altitude, the time information must be instantly understandable. The new BR-03 Diver Lum Outline upholds this rule.

Its "baignoire" style applied indices and skeletonized hour and minute hands are filled with black varnish to make the green luminescent outline stand out. The dial, finished in matte black varnish and topped by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, features a green printed minute track. The seconds hand has a green tip and a black counterweight.

To complement the uniform look of this diver's watch in micro-blasted black ceramic, two straps are offered: one in black rubber and one in black synthetic fabric, both fitted with a matte black PVD-treated steel buckle.

The 42mm micro-blasted black ceramic case, 13.35mm thick, and screw-down crown of the BR-03 Diver Lum Outline ensure water-resistance to 300 meters. It meets all the attributes of a diving watch certified by the Swiss Horological Federation under the IS06425 standard, including a unidirectional ceramic bezel graduated for 60 minutes, with minute markings up to 15 minutes.

The new diver is also powered by a mechanical automatic movement with a 54-hour power reserve.
