Under the vision of Christelle Rosnoblet, CEO & Owner, the Maison continues to pursue its singular interpretation of Anglo-Swiss watchmaking, balancing heritage with creative freedom. Crafted in 5N red gold, the 42 mm case reveals an openworked architecture dressed in Royal Blue, Speake Marin’s emblematic colour, inspired by Pantone 287 C. Deep and vibrant, this commanding shade of blue contrasts beautifully with the warmth of the gold, while accentuating the depth and relief of the movement.

MECHANICS TAKES CENTRE STAG
The Openworked collection places the movement at the very heart of its aesthetic expression. Bridges, openings and indications unfold across several levels, creating a dynamic architecture inspired by a world without limits. Finishes, colours and contrasts reveal each individual component while preserving the collection’s defining signature: a fully exposed mechanical construction, designed to be admired on the wrist.

This contemporary architecture is housed within the iconic Piccadilly case, a hallmark of Speake Marin’s Anglo-Swiss identity. Redesigned in 2017 by Eric Giroud, it reinterprets the Maison’s historic design codes through more fluid and sculptural lines.
ROYAL BLUE AS THE DEFINING THREAD
Intense, deep and luminous, Royal Blue runs throughout the entire timepiece. It dresses the openworked dial, the flange and selected movement components, revealing ever-changing nuances as the light moves across its surfaces.

Combined with 5N red gold, anthracite-grey rhodium plating and subtle 4N details, it creates a precious yet contemporary palette. A red accent positioned on the power-reserve display punctuates the composition with an unexpected graphic touch.

THE PICCADILLY CASE IN 5N RED GOLD
The Tourbillon Royal Blue is housed within Speake Marin’s emblematic 42 mm Piccadilly case, here crafted in 5N red gold. A true aesthetic signature of the Maison, its sculptural lines frame the openworked architecture of the movement, precisely highlighting its volumes and depth. The flying tourbillon, power-reserve indication and finishing of the SMA05 calibre are thus fully revealed.

A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial while preserving the transparency of the composition. On the reverse, a sapphire crystal caseback extends this view into the mechanics, revealing the movement from an entirely new perspective. The signature flared and fluted crown, crafted in 5N red gold and set with a blue sapphire, provides a final precious detail perfectly attuned to the chromatic identity of the timepiece.
The caseback bears the engraved Speake Marin and One & Two signatures, together with the inscription “Limited Edition of 5”, affirming the absolute exclusivity of this creation. The timepiece is paired with a Royal Blue ostrich leather strap, hand-stitched with gold-coloured thread echoing the warmth of the 5N gold. A light-brown calfskin lining and 5N red-gold pin buckle complete the ensemble with elegance and restraint.
A DIAL CONCEIVED AS ARCHITECTURE IN MOTION
Entirely open to the mechanics beneath, the dial of the Tourbillon Royal Blue unfolds like a weightless architectural construction. Its various levels guide the eye around two principal focal points: the flying tourbillon at 1:30 and the power-reserve indication at 7:30. Between them, bridges, openings and mechanical organs compose a horological landscape in which every detail contributes to the rhythm of the whole.

The upper plate is finished with a Royal Blue PVD treatment, intentionally left unlacquered in order to preserve the full depth and intensity of its colour. Straight-grained lines extend from the tourbillon towards the power-reserve display, creating vanishing lines that naturally draw the eye into the heart of the calibre.
Microblasted recesses contrast with satin-brushed surfaces, while diamond-cut edges and opalinefinished bevels capture the light with every movement of the wrist. Glossy light-grey details in Pantone 420 C enhance the legibility of the composition, while a securing ruby within the power-reserve display introduces a precious yet subtle flash of red.

Surrounding the exposed mechanics, a circular-grained brass flange finished in the same Royal Blue PVD creates an almost immaterial boundary. Its lowered geometry further accentuates the depth of the dial, while its diamond-cut edge traces a delicate circle of light around the movement.
Twelve Pantone 420 C light-grey Super-LumiNova hour markers punctuate the minute track. After dark, their blue luminescence reveals an entirely new dimension of the timepiece, extending its chromatic identity into the night. Engraved directly onto the flange, the Speake Marin logo integrates elegantly into the composition without disturbing its visual balance.
Polished and finished with a 4N PVD treatment, the hour and minute hands appear to float above the movement. Their light-grey lacquer and blue luminescence ensure precise readability while preserving an unobstructed view of the mechanical architecture.
At the heart of the Tourbillon Royal Blue beats the automatic manufacture SMA05 calibre, equipped with a fully integrated micro-rotor, a flying tourbillon completing one rotation every 60 seconds and a 72-hour power reserve.

Comprising 290 components, it operates at a frequency of 3 Hz, or 21,600 vibrations per hour. Its construction has been conceived to reveal its mechanical organs while maintaining the visual balance that characterises the One & Two Openworked collection.

The bridges, decorated with Côtes de Genève, are anthracite-grey rhodium-plated, with the exception of the central bridge, which is enhanced by a circular-grained 4N gold-tone PVD coating. The tungsten oscillating weight and barrel drum are rhodium-plated, creating a subtle interplay between cool and warm tones.
The tourbillon is crowned by Speake Marin’s signature Topping Tool bridge, polished and finished in 4N. Its golden radiance directly echoes the red gold of the case, making it one of the principal focal points of the composition.

The barrel features laser-engraved One & Two, Openworked and Flying Tourbillon inscriptions, accompanied by a striped decoration. These lines continue onto the oscillating weight, creating a visual continuity between the different elements of the calibre.
Far more than a simple chromatic variation, the Tourbillon Royal Blue offers a renewed interpretation of openworked architecture: a piece where color, light, and mechanics correspond with precision.
SPEAKE-MARIN “IN-HOUSE” MOVEMENTS STRATEGY
Since 2015, Speake-Marin has initiated a movement strategy to fully develop and assemble proprietary movements within its atelier in the Neuchatel area, Switzerland. This new strategy gave birth to the “SMA” collection, which includes Openworked, closed dials and Haute Horlogerie movements. Firstly, Speake-Marin focused its efforts on Haute Horlogerie 3 Hz movements (Minute Repeater and Double Tourbillon). Then, Speake-Marin developed Hour Minutes Seconds 4Hz movements, which were featured in the new One&Two design as an Openworked movement named SMA01. This movement is particular due to the small seconds counter being positioned at 1:30 and its integrated micro-rotor. The new SMA02 Calibre is part of the SMA movement family and follows the Openworked collection approach with the small seconds at 1:30. The small seconds at 1:30 meets the Speake-Marin objective to break-away from the watchmaking codes: Speake-Marin is the only watchmaker who positions the small seconds there. It is actually a real constraint in terms of movement development since the small seconds at 1:30 have to go through the time setting module.
