Trilobe has never bottled a single wine. But we’ve enjoyed more than a few.

Still, there’s a terroir we share, the same standard, an obsessive attention to detail, repeated until it becomes a signature.

A year ago, Trente-Deux was born, our first collection designed, developed, manufactured, decorated, and assembled in Paris.

Today, Trilobe unveils Château Trente-Deux. Set around a burgundy dial, this edition brings together two French crafts, united by their shared vision of time. But here, time isn’t counted in vintages, it’s told in hours, with a genuine appreciation for the pleasure of sharing it. 

Trente-Deux ages into a vintage of its own 

Trente-Deux was never just a number. It’s the address of our Parisian workshop. It’s also the code name behind the development of our first in-house collection.

A vintage is born the moment a number stops being a reference and becomes a year worth remembering, one tied forever to what it brought into being. Château Trente-Deux is ours.The harvest that dressed Trente-Deux in burgundy and tied it to another French craft.

The Terroir

Before a wine answers to a vitner, it answers to its terroir. Ours sits in the heart of Paris’ Opéra district, steps from Place Vendôme and the Palais Royal: the same arcades once home to French horology greats such as Le Roy, Berthoud and Lepaute.

A terroir can travel in name. Never in nature. Move a vineyard, and you lose its very reason for being. The same goes for an atelier. Château Trente-Deux follows that same estate logic. Like grower vintners, we harvest only our own plot: an edition designed, manufactured, decorated, and assembled entirely within our Paris Manufacture.

The Robe

In wine, color isn’t decoration. It’s proof of origin. The dial of Château Trente-Deux takes on a deep red, matched not to a color chart, but to the exact hue of a great vintage.

A matte sunburst finish radiates across the main disc, giving it legs, the way a wine clings to the glass, tempting you to taste.

Tasting Notes 

Bold on the wrist without ever tipping into excess, the case reveals a complex architecture of seven parts, each finished individually.

Three chamfered tiers, a fluted bezel alternating mirror polish and satin brushing: layers that echo the strata of a great terroir, where every detail plays its part in the overall balance.

On the nose, precision. A satin brushed lug line, straight enough to satisfy an oenologist’s ruler.

On the palate, a mirror-polished chamfer that catches the light the way a great tannin grips the palate.

The long finish allows for a 42-hour power reserve. No need to decant, though we understand the urge to let it breathe, if only to want it all the more before wearing it.

The Cellar

Our Manufacture isn’t a cellar, but it follows the same principles: controlled temperature and humidity, patience, and the conviction that nothing leaves before its time. From the outside, that can look like stubbornness.

Every X-Nihilo movement undergoes over 400 hours of testing before leaving our workshop, about as long as it takes a young wine to find its balance in the barrel.

Except ours is measured in isochronism, not tannins. Both follow their own calendar, and answer to no one else’s. No shortcut ever made a great vintage, or a great movement.

The bracelet 

The strap is produced in a single operation using a two-part steel mold into which the material is directly injected. The mold reproduces all the strap’s aesthetic details in negative, ensuring finesse, precision, and durability.

A metal insert, positioned directly within the mold, provides the connection between the case and the strap. The rubber is injected around this component, creating a highly robust integrated structure. Finally, the double folding clasp is attached to the strap via a link embedded within the rubber, ensuring secure fastening while maintaining optimal wearing comfort.

TRILOBE  INNOVATION 

The precise position of the stars is calculated using an algorithm that integrates more than 1,600 constellations. This system is based on the work of Belgian astronomer Jean Meeus, an international reference in astronomical calculations. *

THE CELESTIAL COORDINATES OF THE STARS

Each star has a unique position in the sky, defined by its celestial coordinates. However, their apparent position evolves over time due to the

Earth’s movement around the Sun and the tilt of its axis. The algorithm used incorporates these variations to calculate the exact position of the stars at a specific moment in your personal history. 

CRAFTING THE STARRY SKY 

The sky is brought to life on the dial by the skilled hands of an artisan mastering the horological art of decal application.

Each constellation is first engraved on a metal plate, then meticulously transferred onto the dial using a pad-printing technique. The artisan applies a powdered silver ink in successive micro-deposits, with a perfectly controlled gesture.

Each star gradually emerges, layer by layer, achieving a delicate balance between brilliance, density, and refinement. This patient process gives the stars subtle relief, while the lacquer work adds depth, creating the illusion of celestial bodies floating above the dial, suspended in the vastness of the night sky.

Produced in a clean room to preserve the purity of the dial, this meticulous craftsmanship requires absolute precision. Each piece becomes the expression of rare expertise, where technical mastery meets the poetry of the sky.

THE GENESIS OF THE SECRET EDITION 

The Secret Edition was the original vision of Gautier Massonneau, Founder and Creative Director of the Maison. Its technical complexity, however, required two years of research and development to bring this intimate and poetic customization to life.

The Trente-Deux Secret edition is also available in a rose gold case paired with a rubber strap, carefully matched to the hue of the sunray dial.

The combination of rubber and rose gold enhances the versatility of the collection, creating a unique balance for a relaxed, everyday look while preserving the sophisticated aesthetic that defines the Trente-Deux.

Its subtly grained texture offers a pleasant feel across the entire surface, while the grooved underside enhances breathability for optimal everyday comfort. 

HARMONY IN THE SERVICE OF ELEGANCE 

The case and strap have been designed as a cohesive and sophisticated whole. On the visible side of the strap, vertical lines extend the satin-brushed finish of the case, while chamfers on each side echo those of the case middle, creating a direct visual link between the case and the strap.

Finally, the strap’s thickness follows that of the case middle, ensuring perfect balance. The result is a slim, lightweight strap that is exceptionally comfortable to wear, combining elegance with ergonomics. 

A NOD TO OUR DARING SPIRIT

A symbol of water resistance and an emblematic motif of the Maison, the duck now floats on the underside of our rubber strap, a discreet signature of Trilobe’s identity.

One year after the launch of its model Une Folle Journée, Trilobe offers a new interpretation, “Dune”, of its collection. For this new edition, the three iconic levitating rings, in permanent rotation, don a stormy grey dress.

The rings of the hours, minutes and seconds are tiered and fly at a 10.2mm height, a true watchmaking prowess. Projected in space and balanced by 9 pillars, Trilobe’s rings are each the result of a complex assembly.

These three discs are highlighted by the singular colour of the bridges, for a creation both raw and delicate.

A tribute to Nuit Fantastique Dune

Emphasizing and sublimating the rings of time by a contrast of colours and materials, the bridges don their summer dress with a colour reminiscent of dune sand.

Une Folle Journée Dune is equipped with the X-Centric calibre, an automatic movement designed and developed exclusively by Trilobe. Integrated into the X-Centric calibre, the 6.49 mm thick micro-rotor movement combines finesse and technical performance.

Entirely revisited for the collection Une Folle Journée, the X-Centric calibre is taking shape around multi-tiered bridges and plates, whose sharp edges have been carefully polished by hand or with diamond tools to emphasize the microblasted treatment performed on their plane surfaces.

One year after the launch of its collection Une Folle Journée, Trilobe takes its first step on the High Jewellery scene with a luminous and innovating piece, inspired by the ceiling of the Paris Opera house.

The three rotating rings are adorned with exceptional diamonds whose secret setting, invisible to the naked eye, was designed with the expertise of craftsmen from Rue de la Paix.

A watchmaking and jewellery prowess

While preserving the elegance and extravagance of Une Folle Journée, Trilobe chose to set its symbolic
rings. A real technical challenge that would have been impossible to undertake without a complete
architectural overhaul of the piece.

Thus, the rings were entirely redesigned to accommodate 150 baguette diamonds. An evolution of material was also essential to guarantee the performance and reliability of the movement.

A Trilobe signed setting 

The material as well as the thinness of the rings, providing a limited space for the precious stones, led the House to develop an innovative setting process in collaboration with expert gem-setters from Rue de la Paix, RJC certified.

The 150 diamonds of the Hours, Minutes and Seconds are set through an invisible opening and then slide along the ring, thanks to a unique system developed exclusively by Trilobe.

The know-how of the gem-setter is combined with the expertise of a renowned diamond trader from Place Vendôme, RJC certified, to bring Une Folle Journée Diamant to life.

Carefully selected according to high quality and traceability standards, the 150 stones are meticulously diamond-cut to measure to fit perfectly the curves of Trilobe’s three iconic rings.

Trilobe finds its inspiration in the Garnier Opera house

Emblematic of the 7 art forms, the Garnier Opera House is a strong symbol for Trilobe, who never ceases to reflect its affinity for the arts through its creations.

Look up to the sky to admire an 8-meter high chandelier whose splendour is undeniable. 314 lights, named the diamond belt, adorn the work of contemporary artist Marc Chagall.

The fresco is divided into 12 triangles and forms a circle that must be read by a 360° rotation. This mural was once controversial because of its audacity and avant-gardism. Yet today, it is considered as an indissociable element of the Opera house and subtly reflects the identity of Trilobe.
