THE LANGUAGE OF STRUCTURE

Both editions are driven by the same architectural principle: structure comes first. The architectural framework of the original Architect remains uncompromising.

In this final release, that structure is confronted with two origins, Earth and Cosmos, allowing material to speak freely while geometry remains absolute. Architecture continues to define both function and aesthetics. Materials extend the expression without altering the form.

Conceived from two origins: the one that gave us life, and the one that existed before it. Between Earth and Cosmos, the architectural language reaches its final expression.

A deep blue sunburst dial evokes water, horizon, and light in motion. Hand-cast 18K gold captures reflections like a living surface.

Cosmos: The Celestial Origin

Each dial is formed from a 4.5-billion-year-old meteorite, whose crystalline structure was shaped over millions of years in space.

No two dials are alike. Sandblasted textures recall raw concrete, expressing architecture in its most elemental form, where matter precedes design.

Gold as evidence on both editions, 18K gold is cast, not applied.

The process begins with an algorithm defining the form, followed by additive manufacturing to craft the mold.

Molten gold is then poured, shaped, and solidified, like a gold bar taking form. The surface is sandblasted to achieve a uniform, architectural texture.

This is not a decorated dial.
It is a gold sculpture.

How this collaboration came about?

Christophe Musy dreamed of becoming an architect. He became a watchmaker, translating that vision into horology.

Arturo Tedeschi is an architect driven by constant curiosity and a deep commitment to sharing knowledge. Through algorithms, research, and the publication of several books, he approaches architecture as a field of discovery, revealing forms and modes of thinking that extend beyond human intuition.

They met organically. They recognized a shared way of thinking. They became friends. They built a watch.

Form emerges through Tedeschi’s algorithmic thinking. Watchmaking responds through material and craftsmanship. Architecture leads; craft gives it life.

While the dialogue between form and matter defines the visible expression of the Architect, its legitimacy is rooted elsewhere, within its mechanical foundation.

At the heart beats the MM01 caliber. Introduced in 2019, it marked a decisive shift for the manufacture, an architectural movement designed, manufactured, and assembled entirely in Switzerland.

This new model, certified "SWISS CRAFTED" and strongly inspired by racing cars, is equipped with a second 24-hour time zone engraved on a titanium-ceramic bezel.

The hybrid ceramic and titanium bezel features a 24-hour scale enabling dual-time readings, while the colour difference marks the boundary between day and night.

The entirely in-house made case represents an authentic watch exterior complication in its own right and a world-exclusive feature. MAURON MUSY is the only watch brand in the world to have developed a mechanical gasket-free water-tightness system completely free of the costly maintenance associated with polymer ageing. 

 

This patented nO-Ring® method of mechanical gasket-free water-resistance, featuring a design whose very essence is intrinsically linked to the technology involved, requires 36 highly technical elements and ensures a waterproof seal guaranteed to 300 metres.

This robust and technological MU04 GMT SPORT model is undoubtedly the first watch with a 5-year warranty that is completely maintenance-free. The dial is machined in a single operation using state-of-the-art laser technology.

It features a very rough cast iron texture inspired by car engines. In the same spirit as the movement bridges, the hour-markers and cartouches are machined using the champlevé technique highlighting the polished script appearing in relief.

The raised numerals light up in the dark thanks to a luminescent ceramic that instils a very sporty yet highly functional spirit. Five apertures offer a sporadic view of the date disc and these indexing changes.

The 60-minute scale is engraved on an imposing sloping inner bezel ring circling the dial, while a small speedometer-like 60-second counter appears at 9 o’clock. The latter is deeply recessed on a finely microblasted structure, again highlighting the raised numerals.

The sporty wheel rim-style hands are openworked as much as possible in order to ensure a transparent view of the watch face.

Calibre MM01-GMT

This mechanical self-winding movement developed in collaboration with Manufacture La Joux-Perret is endowed with an optimal 55-hour power reserve.

The MM01-GMT calibre drives the hours, minutes, small seconds at 9 o'clock, date at 3 o'clock and 24-hour dual-time indications.

 It boasts unique high-end decoration, featuring bridges hollowed and microblasted in the centre, satin-brushed on the periphery and polished on the chamfers so as to reveal the various inscriptions in relief.
