Hautlence returns to the spot light with a new variation of its most mesmerizing mechanical sculpture: the Sphere Series 3. Same complication, same kinetic magic — but with a completely reimagined silhouette: more compact, more daring. The rectangular case adopts new, reduced proportions and houses a fully reworked movement in a smaller format.

Architectural, sculptural and utterly hypnotic, the Sphere Series 3 takes Hautlence's aesthetic and technical vision even further. This new interpretation of the iconic piece embodies the brand's ambition: elevating mechanics to the level of kinetic art.

The titanium case, now more compact, reveals clean, assertive lines, as if carved from raw material. Its redesigned format brings a new sense of balance: the visual power remains, but is now focused, contained, almost intimate. On the sides, subtle reliefs echo the rectangular design that has become a Hautlence signature. Water-resistant to 10 ATM, the watch retains its futuristic presence while embracing a contemporary edge.

The sphere, meanwhile, remains faithful to its original vocation: to captivate the eye. Positioned on the left side of the dial, it rotates on three axes, revealing the hours through a ballet that is both precise and hypnotic—orchestrated by four conical gears moving around two crossed axes inclined at 21 degrees. Two polished titanium shells, coated in a striking shade of purple, encase the differential mechanism and unite to form the sphere. Around it, the fully skeletonised dial gives the impression that the sphere is floating in mid-air. Time takes on the quality of a mirage: no longer merely displayed, but experienced.

On the right, the retrograde minute hand interacts with the openworked dial, revealing the heartbeat of the movement. Gears, freewheel and snail cam appear like a miniature stage where each component performs its role. The purple minute hand traces its path along a suspended minute track before snapping back to zero in a controlled glide—a return to order after the dance.

Beneath the dial beats the manual-winding calibre A82, specially adapted to this more compact case. The same ingenuity, the same precision, but condensed into a reduced version that preserves all the magic of the original movement. Designed and assembled in the brand’s workshops, it is powered by a hairspring produced by Precision Engineering AG, Hautlence’s sister company.

Fully skeletonised, the barrel and ratchet reveal the tension of the mainspring, offering an intuitive reading of the 72-hour power reserve. A built-in security mechanism prevents accidental damage during incorrect manipulation like reverse time setting: the watch protects itself, true to the brand’s pragmatic innovation ethos.

With the Sphere Series 3, Hautlence signs a more compact—yet equally captivating—expression of its horological vision: a timepiece where every detail vibrates between architectural rigour and artistic freedom.
