THE STREAMLINER CYLINDRICAL TOURBILLON SKELETON ALPINE LIMITED
EDITION PINK LIVERY: SKELETONISED SOPHISTICATION WITH A POP OF PINK!

Following the launch of its Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition model a couple of weeks ago, H. Moser & Cie. is releasing a second version in pink to coincide with the 2024 Miami Grand Prix. In contrast to the dominant blue colour of the first model, this new Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition model is dressed in pink in tribute to the traditional second livery of the single-seater raced by H. Moser & Cie.'s partner BWT Alpine F1 Team. It is created as an extremely limited edition of 20 pieces, available exclusively online on the H. Moser & Cie website.

BWT Alpine F1 Team’s A524 will race in two liveries for the 2024 season. Both feature a black core and were inspired by contemporary artist Felipe Pantone. The main design, which will be used in 16 races, features Alpine's traditional blue colours as well as black. BWT enters the third year of title partnership with the F1 Team, which is marked by its world-renowned pink colours that feature strongly on its A524 livery.

At eight races this season, the livery will be pink dominated to further underline Alpine’s strong partnership with its title partner BWT. It was therefore only natural that H. Moser & Cie.'s Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition model should sport the colours of both of its partner's two liveries.

While the first 100-piece series of this timepiece had blue accents, this second edition features a powerful pink. At 12 o'clock, the skeletonised main dial is topped with a small domed dial in synthetic corundum, following the curve of the sapphire crystal and sporting the signature pink colour of BWT, a bright and distinctive shade enhanced by the clarity of the synthetic corundum, or ruby, used.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The synthetic corundum brings a special intensity to the Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition Pink Livery; although it is difficult to machine, due to its extreme hardness, its transparency truly enhances the beauty of the piece.

Emanating timeless elegance, this model has no logo, emphasising its aesthetic purity and exclusivity. The indices feature Super-Luminova®, while the inserts above the blued hour and minute hands are made of Globolight®, for perfect legibility even at night. As for the strap, H. Moser & Cie. has opted for pink moulded rubber which imitates the texture of a textile strap, prioritising comfort without compromising sophistication.

The automatic calibre HMC 811 is fully skeletonised on both the front and on the reverse side, where a large openworked gold rotor can be seen oscillating.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The beauty of this movement is accentuated by the lightness of the one-minute flying tourbillon fitted with a blue cage bridge matching the hands, and a cylindrical balance-spring which spins at 6 o'clock.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Showcasing the expertise of H. Moser & Cie.'s sister company, Precision Engineering AG, the cylindrical balance-spring has become very difficult to produce as it requires specialist skills that have been lost. Each cylindrical balance-spring is shaped by hand, and it takes ten times as long to produce as a traditional balance-spring. H. Moser & Cie. loves to play with contrasts, and here the brand has enjoyed combining traditional expertise with an ultra-modern watch.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

This powerful, sleek timepiece is spectacular yet easy to wear thanks to its compact design and water resistance to 12 ATM. It is being produced in a limited edition of 20 pieces, available exclusively on the brand's e-commerce platform. Alongside this very exclusive limited edition, the Manufacture will be producing one more piece.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

This watch will be sold at a charity auction with all the proceeds donated to the private non-profit foundation AQUA PEARLS, established by BWT and its CEO Andreas Weissenbacher in 2016. The foundation's overall focus is to improve the access to clean drinking water worldwide, alleviating poverty, protecting the environment and promoting sustainability.

A LITTLE MORE OF THE SMOKED SALMON, PERHAPS?

H. MOSER & CIE. PRESENTS THE STREAMLINER PERPETUAL CALENDAR CONCEPT SMOKED SALMON: A STYLE AND AN EXPERIENCE AVAILABLE FOR ONE (LEAP) YEAR ONLY

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Four hands in the centre, a big date and a power reserve indicator, all displayed on the extraordinary Smoked Salmon dial. Presenting H. Moser & Cie.'s latest creation: the Streamliner Perpetual Calendar Concept Smoked Salmon. This is a supremely pared-down model, devoid of boring sub-dials, indexes or logos. Simple in appearance yet utterly ingenious, it focuses exclusively on the essentials. Exploiting the interplay of contrasts, it disrupts the vintage spirit of the Smoked Salmon colour by contrasting it with a boldly modernist minimalism to achieve the perfect balance. This special edition watch will be available for 12 months only.

In 2005, H. Moser & Cie. marked its return to Haute Horlogerie by revolutionising the perpetual calendar with the Perpetual 1. For Watches & Wonders Geneva, the Manufacture is revisiting this famous instantaneous date-change movement in a version featuring four hands in the centre, including a direct seconds hand, and associating it with its Streamliner collection.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

A fusion of two icons, the Streamliner Perpetual Calendar Concept Smoked Salmon is equipped with the HMC 812 hand-wound movement. A masterpiece of simplicity and ingenuity, this calibre indicates the months by means of a small central hand in red and white. While the months are usually represented by the indexes, this Concept version has neither indexes nor a logo, allowing the full beauty of the Smoked Salmon dial to shine through.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

This colour, a classic in Haute Horology, adds an exquisitely vintage touch to this model. The vibrant dial creates an unending play of light, ranging from black to an arresting mirror effect, and changing with the movements of the wrist, from chocolate to gold, in a wide spectrum of shades.

Featuring a griffé finish found only on special editions, the Streamliner Perpetual Calendar Concept Smoked Salmon will be available for 12 months only. To display the hours and minutes, the three-dimensional hands made from two sections feature inserts with Globolight®, an innovative ceramic-based material containing Super-LumiNova®.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The Streamliner Perpetual Calendar Concept Smoked Salmon has a guaranteed power reserve of 168 hours, displayed at 10 o'clock on the dial via an indicator. At 4 o'clock, a window indicates the date, in large format, thanks to two superimposed discs which operate one after the other, from 1 to 15 then from 16 to 31.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Aligned with the crown, the date window is positioned at an unusual angle which required the numerals to be tilted to 26°. The date changes in a flash at midnight thanks to the "Flash Calendar" instantaneous date-change mechanism, and it can be adjusted forwards or backwards at any time of day. In constant pursuit of minimalism, the leap year indicator is located on the movement side.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Visible via the sapphire case-back, the HMC 812 calibre features an ultra-contemporary finish with the traditional Moser double horizontal stripes and an anthracite grey PVD coating on the balance bridges, train wheels, barrel and escapement plate. The main plate is microblasted and features anthracite rhodium plating.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The Streamliner Perpetual Calendar has perfectly rounded curves, evoking the very first high-speed trains from the Twenties and Thirties whose name it adopts. This shaped watch is equipped with a steel cushion case measuring 42.3 mm in diameter and is water-resistant to 12 ATM. Designed as a truly sculptural piece, this case boasts harmonious proportions and beautiful aerodynamics. It is topped by a subtly domed Glassbox type sapphire crystal, echoed by the see-through case-back. These curves extend to the integrated steel bracelet, which is elegantly arced to follow the line of the wrist; the unique design of the links ensures that it sits perfectly on even the most slender of wrists.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Highly complex in construction, this bracelet has extremely fluid lines, based on organic forms. All the links are articulated and feature a gentle wave combining a vertical brushed finish with polished surfaces. The bezel has a sunray brushed finish; the case has alternating brushed and polished surfaces, with hollowed and satin-finished forms on the sides, in a nod to the traditional unusual shapes typical of Moser cases.

THE STREAMLINER SMALL SECONDS WITH MICRO-ROTOR AND ENAMEL DIAL:
 AN EXCEPTIONAL COMBINATION

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

With the Streamliner Small Seconds Blue Enamel, H. Moser & Cie. is combining exclusivity, performance and craftsmanship in a single model. More than a product, the Manufacture is offering an objet d'art for those who appreciate discreetly refined, high-performance watchmaking.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

At the heart of a steel case with new lines and proportions and dimensions perfectly suited to its movement is the brand's 18th Manufacture calibre. A true embodiment of H. Moser & Cie.'s technical and aesthetic prowess, this creation is set to become one of the must-have timepieces of the independent watchmaking world.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Made of steel and measuring 39 mm in diameter, the cushion-shaped case of the Streamliner Small Seconds Blue Enamel model is still water-resistant to 12 ATM and inspired by the curves and roundness of the first high-speed trains of the 20s and 30s, from which it takes its name. However, its proportions have been reworked to give it more elongated lines, made possible by the smaller dimensions of the new calibre HMC 500.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Integrated into the case, the steel bracelet is elegantly arced to extend the curves of the case. Highly complex in construction, it has extremely fluid lines, based on organic forms. The links, all unique and articulated, are the height of subtle sophistication, and supple flexibility.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

To accentuate the steel of the case and bracelet, H. Moser & Cie. has chosen a Grand Feu enamel dial. Named "Aqua Blue", it reinterprets the brand's renowned signature fumé finish with the artistic flourish of a master craftsman.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Starting with a pattern engrained onto a gold base, as if hammered, three different colour pigments are washed, finely crushed, then applied to create an ombré effect. Careful work and limitless patience are required for the master enameller to painstakingly apply the pigments, adding them one by one so that the colours oxidise and meld together when heated in the furnace, without any pixellation.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

A translucent "Grand Feu" enamel dial must be fired twelve times in total to create the fumé effect, where the lighter shades in the centre gradually deepen. Each dial is unique. Steel applique indices punctuate the edge of the dial, which features no logo.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

To display the hours and minutes, the three-dimensional hands made from two sections feature inserts with Globolight®, an innovative ceramic-based material containing Super-LumiNova®. The offset small seconds is displayed at 6 o'clock on a lacquered sub-dial with a circular pattern, offering a beautiful contrast with the base dial.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Driving the Streamliner Small Seconds Blue Enamel model, the new automatic calibre HMC 500 is 100% Moser, 100% Manufacture-made. It is the smallest movement H. Moser & Cie. has developed in the 21st century.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., reflects on the development of this movement: "Our starting objective was to have a movement that was slim yet high performance. We then spent a great deal of time working to optimise the dimensions, which is why we decided to integrate a micro-rotor for the first time in our history.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Made from solid platinum, this micro-rotor is mounted on a ball bearing, equipped with a bi-directional pawl winding system, and offers sufficient barrel torque to provide a power reserve of 74 hours. We have had to develop new smaller, slimmer components and mechanisms which could then be integrated into the available volume.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The escapement was also miniaturised, whilst ensuring its performance remained unchanged, a technical feat made possible thanks to the expertise of our sister company, Precision Engineering AG. Because of the volume, the torque and the winding system, this was no easy task, but the result is a movement which will serve as a base for our small cases, and will enable us to introduce new complications, by combining it with modules developed in-house or in collaboration with our partner Agenhor".

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The calibre HMC 500 features open bridges with a highly contemporary finish, decorated with the traditional Moser stripes and an anthracite grey coating. The company hallmark is proudly showcased on the micro-rotor.

H. MOSER & CIE. – ENDEAVOUR Chinese Calendar Gold Edition

H. MOSER & CIE.ENDEAVOUR Chinese Calendar Gold Limited Edition 2023

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Given the acclaim for its perpetual calendar, the most legible and ingenious on the market, H. Moser & Cie. wanted to explore this complication further and add another calendar to its collection. In collaboration with its partner, Agenhor SA, H. Moser & Cie. developed the Endeavour Chinese Calendar Limited Edition, produced in 100 pieces. This timepiece is a real technical feat, combining the Chinese lunisolar calendar with the solar-only Gregorian calendar and displaying the 12 signs of the Chinese zodiac alongside the moon phases, all without requiring any corrections for 12 years. It also symbolises the union of two different cultures and measurements, and their harmonious coexistence. The timepiece unites the sun and moon, combining elements of the solar and lunar calendars, calculated separately, and synchronising them. It does so with an elegant and minimalistic aesthetic that makes the piece user-friendly to read and operate.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

People have always felt the need to measure time and to become its master. To this end, they have used heavenly bodies to determine cycles and calendars based on the sun, moon or both. While the Gregorian calendar is exclusively solar, the Chinese calendar is primarily lunar, as it tracks the cycles of the moon, but takes the sun into account at the same time, making it more complicated. This makes it a lunisolar calendar. Rich in cultural and traditional symbolism, it has its roots in the observation of nature thousands of years ago, and makes it possible to follow the rhythm of the lunar solar terms and four seasons, so essential to Chinese agriculture and traditional culture. It is a complex and ancient system for calculating time. By gaining an understanding of the Chinese calendar, one can travel through thousands of years of Chinese history and appreciate its subtleties. With the Endeavour Chinese Calendar Limited Edition, H. Moser & Cie. is paying tribute to traditional Chinese culture.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

The Endeavour Chinese Calendar Limited Edition is a true technical feat, displaying the months and days of the Chinese calendar, the days of the Gregorian calendar, the moon phases, and the signs of the zodiac that are associated with each Chinese year. As the lunar calendar is based on the cycles of the moon, Chinese months have 29 or 30 days, in keeping with the phases of the moon, which takes 29.53 days to orbit the Earth. There are 12 lunar months, which means that a lunar year lasts an average of 354.36 days and, therefore, has 10.88 days fewer than a solar year, which lasts 365.25 days. In a solely lunar calendar, the months shift with respect to the seasons, each month starting around 11 days earlier with every subsequent solar year. To avoid an excessive discrepancy with the solar year, lunisolar calendars have a 13th month every two to three years. These months are known as “embolismic” and are added to keep the lunar years aligned with the four seasons. The Endeavour Chinese Calendar Limited Edition also indicates this extra month.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

As there are no repeated cycles in the Chinese calendar, it is mechanically impossible to produce a Chinese perpetual calendar. H. Moser & Cie. and Agenhor SA therefore undertook a major challenge in choosing to make a timepiece that is able to precisely indicate all the lunisolar calendar information for every 12 years without any corrections. While the other Chinese calendars on the market require at least 70 manual corrections over a duodecimal period, this is the first movement to operate according to the same cycle without external intervention. This feat is made possible by two cams that work in parallel and convey information on the number and duration of Chinese months using feelers. The Endeavour Chinese Calendar Limited Edition will also take into account the number of Chinese lunisolar months and their duration, the embolismic months, the Chinese lunisolar year and the corresponding animal of the Chinese zodiac, the moon phases, and the dates of the Gregorian calendar, for a duration of 12 years. At the end of this cycle, the cams will very simply be changed for the next 12-year period at the same time as the watch is serviced.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Contrasting with the red gold of the Endeavour case, the Midnight Blue fumé dial bears the H. Moser & Cie logo in transparent lacquer, like a secret signature. It features crescent-shaped windows, one indicating the Chinese lunisolar months, on the left-hand side, and the other simultaneously displaying the Chinese lunisolar days and the moon phase on the right-hand side. Two retrograde hands with rounded tips travel along these windows and return to their starting points once they have completed their course. At 12 o’clock, two windows show the Chinese lunisolar year and the associated animal zodiac, as well as the embolismic month number whenever there is a 13-month year. In a standard 12-month year, this corresponding window will stay black. An off-centred small seconds display sits on top of the Gregorian calendar window at 6 o’clock. Limited to 100 pieces, the Endeavour Chinese Calendar Limited Edition model will be available from H. Moser & Cie.‘s partner network worldwide.

Click , to see the large size. BIG FOTO

Based on H. Moser & Cie.‘s HMC 200 automatic in-house movement, the HMC 210 calibre is combined with a module developed by Agenhor SA. As Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., explains: “This synergy between our two partner companies gave rise to the Endeavour Chinese Calendar Limited Edition, which conveys the complexity of the Chinese calendar and encapsulates it in an elegant and refined watch that is easy to use, read and adjust. With its minimalist and elegant aesthetics, it is a contemporary westernised interpretation of the Chinese traditional culture, unlike the other models of its kind available on the market, which are extremely complex in functional display, difficult to read, and have a very oriental design. I am convinced that this piece’s success will transcend borders and cultures simply because it is a beautiful thing.”
