The Art of Precision Recentered
With the Curvex CX Grand Central Tourbillon, Franck Muller redefines the very notion of the spotlight in watchmaking, placing the tourbillon not where tradition dictates, but at the heart of the timepiece. This bold reimagining invites a new way of reading time. Moving the tourbillon from its conventional position at 6 o’clock to the very center required not just mechanical innovation, but a conceptual transformation of the timekeeper itself.
A Design Shaped by Curves and Light
The Curvex CX Grand Central Tourbillon is crafted in Stainless Steel and measures 30 mm in width and 44 mm in length, balancing technical ambition with ergonomic comfort. The separate bezel, separate from the case, allows refined two-tone treatments and a modern interpretation of the original Cintrée Curvex silhouette.

Less material is used on the sides, increasing visibility while enhancing the sensual curves of the case, a subtle play between structure and fluidity.
A Dial in Motion
The dial is conceived to draw the eye toward the very core of this timepiece, where the tourbillon takes center stage. It becomes part of the architecture of the movement itself, shaped to enhance depth, light and visual perspective. Layers, finishes and structural elements have been carefully orchestrated to create a sense of motion radiating from the heart of the timepiece.

Whether viewed from the side, front or through the sapphire crystal, the dial offers a three-dimensional experience, transforming the passage of time into a visual journey rather than a simple reading of hours and minutes.
Reinventing the Center of Time
In this collection, time is structured around the tourbillon. The hour and minute hands have been positioned around the cage in a harmonious circular display, a feat achieved through a clever stacking of components, without increasing the thickness of the timepiece. Its bridge indicates the seconds, further reinforcing the idea that the complication itself becomes the narrator of time.
Complexity Engineered from Scratch
At its core lies the in-house MVT FM CX 30T-CTR movement, composed of 313 components, it holds a self-winding system with an eccentric micro rotor, offering 4 days of power reserve, a rare feature in a Franck Muller Tourbillon collection.

The open back reveals traditional finishes such as Côte de Genève, offering a visual contrast between classic craftsmanship and modern innovation. Every element belongs to the same philosophy: reinvention must respect heritage while redefining possibility.
A New Perspective on Time
The Curvex CX Grand Central Tourbillon invites a change in the way we perceive both watchmaking and time itself. By placing the tourbillon at the center, it turns a complication into a focal point.

It is a reinterpretation of space, a shift in perspective, and a reminder that innovation often begins by daring to move what was once considered immovable. More than a technical feat, it is an invitation to look closer, to reconsider tradition and to rediscover what lies at the center of time.
Diamonds Setting
Entirely set by hand with 4.23 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds, the case and dial give an exceptional sparkle to this timepiece. The amount of time and craftsmanship necessary for setting each individual diamond is incredible and requires a mastery of several years of training.
Curvex CX Case
The Curvex CX is Franck Muller’s iconic tonneau shape, known for its flowing, harmonious curves that create a bold and elegant silhouette.

Stainless Steel Material
Crafted from stainless steel, this case offers the perfect balance between durability and timeless elegance. Renowned for its resistance and lasting strength, stainless steel provides a refined finish suited for everyday wear. Its sleek design and precise construction embody fine watchmaking craftsmanship with a modern touch.
Integrated Strap
Instead of the traditional spring-bar technique, this strap is seamlessly integrated into the case using two unseen screws, creating a smooth transition between the strap and the case.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Model: CURVEX CX Grand Central Tourbillon Diamonds Setting
The Grand Central Tourbillon is a spectacular new collection, where the Tourbillon is in the spotlight, placed at the center of the timepiece. One of the complexities of the collection, lies in the fact that we had to totally rethink the watch in order to move the Tourbillon from its original position at 6 o'clock to the center of the watch. In addition, Franck Muller designers and watchmakers had to find an innovative way to place the hour and minute hands around the Tourbillon cage, highlighting the beauty of the piece.
