Vincent Deprez – Scientific Tourbillon Blue Grand Feu Enamel Dial Steel and Titanium 39mm Edition 2026
Traditional handmade watchmaking
Tourbillon classique scientifique Édition
This year, as a continuation of the Classical Tourbillon series, Vincent Deprez presents a new interpretation of this calibre: a more scientific, more technical, and distinctly contemporary vision of his Geneva-made tourbillon.

Handcrafted in his workshop, this new timepiece retains the architecture of the original movement while exploring an aesthetic language inspired by scientific instruments and technical watches of the twentieth century. It represents an approach in which legibility, mechanical construction and restraint become the central elements of the creation. Ten examples will be produced in this new configuration, bringing the total production of the Classical Tourbillon series to twenty pieces, including subscription watches.
The Dial - The Depth of Grand Feu Enamel
The dial of the Scientific Tourbillon is crafted in deep midnight-blue grand feu enamel.

Multiple layers of enamel are successively applied and fired to achieve exceptional depth and richness of colour, revealing subtle variations according to the light.
The dial features a mirror-polished applied steel chapter ring together with a detailed minute track, reinforcing the instrumental and scientific character of the piece.

Each dial is handcrafted by Vincent Deprez himself using traditional techniques requiring many hours of work and multiple firings.
The Case - A Contemporary Construction
The 39 mm case combines polished and satin-finished surfaces in 316L stainless steel, emphasizing the volumes and contrasts of the watch.

It is fitted with a domed sapphire crystal and a Grade 5 titanium caseback designed to integrate directly into the case middle. The caseback is secured through the lugs, resulting in a completely flat profile and a deliberately clean visual continuity.

The lug width measures 20 mm, while the buckle width is reduced to 16 mm in order to preserve the overall balance of the watch.
The Movement - Fully Handcrafted Construction
The vast majority of the movement components are manufactured in Deprez's workshop using traditional machine tools.

The bridges, mainplate and selected case components are produced using a pantograph engraving machine. The pivots and wheels are machined on a Schaublin 102 lathe, while a conventional milling machine is used to manufacture numerous additional components.

This deliberately artisanal approach allows complete control over the manufacturing process while preserving a high degree of freedom in the execution of both components and finishes.

The movement operates at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour, while the tourbillon cage completes one full rotation every 60 seconds.
The Finishes - The Hand of the Craftsman
All movement decorations are executed entirely by hand according to traditional haute horlogerie techniques.

Manual graining, anglage, black polishing and satin finishing are individually applied to each component in order to reveal the material and mechanical architecture of the calibre.
The colour palette has been intentionally reduced to the warm grey tones of natural German silver and mirrorpolished steel, creating a restrained and technical monochromatic environment in which light becomes an essential element of visual appreciation.

Each watch is entirely crafted by Vincent Deprez himself in his workshop, from the dial and movement to the finishing and final assembly.
Handmade in Geneva, it combines a deep midnight-blue grand feu enamel dial, a manually wound artisanal tourbillon movement, and finishing executed according to the finest traditions of haute horlogerie. This edition is limited to 10 pieces.

About Vincent Deprez
Vincent Deprez living near Geneva. From childhood he always liked working with his hands and he first thought about being a watchmaker when he was just 12 years old. Two years later, his watchmaking dream turned into a passion after doing a school work experience week at Vacheron Constantin. This led him to a watchmaking apprenticeship with Vacheron Constantin at the horologically precocious age of 15 years.

After ten years at Vacheron Constantin working in restoration, regulation, assembly, and ultra-thin watches, Vincent moved to Patek Philippe where he worked in the restoration department. A yearning to make his own watch grew ever stronger, and in 2017 he left Patek Philippe to set up his own atelier and begin working on making his own tourbillon. With his passion for traditional watchmaking, Vincent decided at the outset that he would make handmade watches using traditional tools.
