At Dubai Watch Week, it’s our great pleasure to introduce the ProPilot Desert Edition, a special version of the freshly updated ProPilot Date, one of our most loved contemporary aviation-themed designs.

The new ProPilot Date’s case has been gently reshaped so it has a more pronounced silhouette with clean, visually sharp lines, while the dial ring, applied numerals and slimmed-down hands have all been reworked to feel more modern and dynamic.

For this Desert Edition, the 41.00 mm case has been formed in a lightweight carbon fibre, produced using an innovative additive manufacturing and moulding technique pioneered in watchmaking by Oris engineers.

This sits on a black hybrid rubber and textile strap with a new expression of the ProPilot Date’s famous ‘LIFT’ clasp that has now been redesigned to offer greater refinement and step-less adjustment.

Together, these elements combine to deliver first-class ergonomics and usability, even in hot, arid conditions.

The crown, oversized bezel and case back are in stainless steel and finished with a grey PVD coating that matches the colour of the carbon fibre case middle and lugs.

The watch also has a grained ‘sandbeige’ dial inspired by the colour and texture of the desert, while high-contrast black hands and numerals ensure superb legibility.
