Since 1978, the Arceau collection has been celebrating asymmetrical lines, equestrian inspiration and the exploration of watchmaking craftsmanship. Beneath its apparent simplicity, the round case provides a veritable canvas for design. With the Arceau Cavalier en Formes watch, time combines sophisticated horological complications with the decorative arts.

In Gianpaolo Pagni's intriguing design, a rider concealed beneath a set of circles and squares is vividly suggested through these cubist-style shapes.

Originally conceptualised for a silk scarf, this graphic composition finds a new setting here while losing nothing of its evocative power. The artist was inspired by an equestrian lithograph from the Émile Hermès collection, choosing to retain only the mount before recomposing the figure of the rider into geometric motifs.

Set directly onto the dial, a sapphire crystal graced with a dainty miniature painting on either side portrays a scene comprising various layers of radiant fragments and subtle shades. Finely engraved leaves unfurl and the surface is enlivened by hand-painted blue flat-colour blocks in square and round shapes. An engraved yellow gold horse stands out at the heart of this visually balanced depiction. Through the interplay of superimposed engraving, painting and transparency, the dial captures the light and reveals an almost sculptural depth.

This pictorial dance is performed above a Lift tourbillon positioned at 6 o'clock, with a carriage picking up the “double H” motif of the historic lift in the Hermès boutique at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris.

Invisible to the eye yet essential to the soul of the timepiece, a minute repeater orchestrated by the hand-wound H1924 movement lends its voice to the watch. Presented in a 43 mm white gold case and issued in a limited edition of six, the Arceau Cavalier en Formes is adorned with a bleu abysse alligator strap, crafted in the Hermès workshops.

Designed by Philippe Delhotal in 2015, the Slim d'Hermès represents a return to fundamentals. Its slender lines are combined with the demanding horological complication known as a perpetual calendar. From the mechanism to the complication layout, each detail combines technical complexity with artisanal expertise.

Developed by the in-house workshops at Le Noirmont, Switzerland, the numerals featuring a font created by graphic designer Philippe Apeloig stand out with a light touch and impart a distinctive rhythm to the reading of time. The galvanic brown centre reflects light at different angles and features gilded baton-type hours and minutes hands.

The date, month, second time zone, leap years and a mother-of-pearl moon phase on an aventurine sky are displayed on four counters. The purity of the sandblasted, snailed and sunburst finishes accentuates the depth and legibility of the timepiece's indications, while highlighting the understated, slender elegance of a 39.5 mm-diameter rose gold case.

The heart of the Slim d'Hermès Quantième Perpétuel beats for centuries to come with the ultra-thin self-winding Hermès H1950 movement. The latter houses the perpetual calendar, which automatically adjusts the length of the months to take account of leap years and thus displays 29 February every four years without any need for adjustments.

This complication is complemented by a dual-time (GMT) with a day/night display and a moon phase, within a composition measuring just 9.06 mm thick. A sapphire crystal case-back reveals these watchmaking skills expressed through hand-chamfered bridges adorned with a “sprinkling of Hs”

Designed in 2015 by Philippe Delhotal, the Slim d'Hermès watch embodies the very essence of the House: a unique blend of rigourous discipline and exquisite balance. Its clean lines that are both contemporary and timeless evoke the Hermès style as well as its imaginary world. Setting the stage for rare crafts, it revisits the Faubourg of dreams silk scarf.

Stuart Patience's deftly wielded pencil transforms the Parisian store at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré into a space capsule navigating the vast expanse of the heavens. Like a futuristic cabinet of curiosities, the objects imagined by the London-based illustrator float through the air. The timepiece combines two artisanal skills: miniature painting and engraving on an applique. Adding depth to the scene, the disc is composed of an aventurine base lit up by gilded spangles and graced with hand-painted planets and stars, topped by a sapphire crystal ring featuring various levitating objects – a wide-open bag, a horseshoe, headphones, a phone handset – also crafted with a fine brush.

Within this scene featuring shades richly contrasted by the presence of yellow and blue, a horse dominates the space with its silvery stature. Its delicately sculpted silhouette features a multitude of facets achieved by a dyeing process involving abrasion before being applied to the dial centre.

The animal's chest bears the two baton-type hours and minutes hands, driven by the H1950 self-winding movement nestled inside the white gold case. An alligator strap expressing the House's leather craftsmanship adorns this 24-piece Slim d'Hermès limited edition.

The stylised reinterpretation of a horse by designer Dimitri Rybaltchenko, the house’s partner in dreamy creativity, echoes Hermès’ 2025 theme, Drawn to craft. It is an open invitation to travel and wonderment.

 On the dial of the Slim d’Hermès Cheval brossé watch, its design hovering between dreams and reality is artistically revealed through enamelling and pad printing. Designed in 2015 by Philippe Delhotal, the Slim d’Hermès expresses the very essence of the house: a singularity composed of rigour discipline and balance.

The radiant sky takes shape beneath the artisan’s meticulous touch, using a brush to apply a blue enamel base: crushed coloured glass powder mixed with natural oils, dried and fired in the kiln to stabilise the pigments.

The horse’s profile is then applied in successive layers of colour. The motif has been previously engraved on a hollow base called a cliché or image plate, which is filled with paint. The colour is then picked up with a flexible pad and transferred to the dial, using subtle layering to obtain the perfect shade and brilliance.

Designed by Henri d'Origny in 1978, the Arceau watch embodies an elegant blend of boldness and understatement. Its round case with asymmetrical stirrup-shaped lugs creates a look that is both timeless and singular.

Crafted in steel set with diamonds and topped with a rose-cut diamond crown, the Arceau Petite lune watch reveals an eclipse on its dial. A blue-lacquered gradient plays with chiaroscuro effects and highlights its abyss blue heart rimmed with 15 diamonds. Subtly associating depth and brilliance, this ‘evocation by absence’ of the periodically vanishing luminous heavenly body is complemented by an elegant star-studded moon-phase display.

Slender openworked hands sweep over this celestial universe, beating to the rhythm set by the Manufacture Hermès H1837 self-winding movement driving the hours and minutes hands along with a moon-phase display between 10 and 11 o’clock. The sapphire case-back reveals the circular-grained and snailed finishing, as well as the ‘sprinkling of Hs’ motif adorning the bridges and oscillating weight.
