Two exclusive interpretations reveal a decorative world that is at times fantasy-tinged and at others futuristic, inspired by the Chorus Stellarum silk scarf designed by Daiske Nomura. Designed by Henri d’Origny in 1978, the timeless Arceau watch revels in playing the transformation game. Its singular aesthetic reveals a joyful interpretation of the Mon Premier Galop shawl by artist Tong Ren. Fascinated by traditional basketry work, the Chinese-born designer combines simple lines, colour blocks and refined decorative-trimming motifs.

His drawing depicts a horse moving across the sand, accompanied by a fluttering butterfly and lit up by a mischievous sun playing with the clouds. Its faltering gait imbued with a sense of fragility and daring evokes the moment of grace of those first steps of horseback.

This magical moment comes to life on the dial of the Arceau Mon Premier Galop watch with its 30-piece jigsaw-like nature uniting several skills deeply cherished by Hermès. The sky and the radiant sun are crafted in enamel, a meticulous technique that involves applying a multitude of enamel layers with a brush and drying them in a kiln to guarantee unique colours and contrasts.

Standing out against this radiant blue background, the horse composed of silk threads along with fine tesserae in various shades of leather that are first trimmed to just 0.5 mm thick. Individually assembled on the dial, the leather and silk threads form a delicate, colourful decor enlivened by a tiny hand-painted gold mobile applique.

Issued in a 24-piece limited edition, the Arceau Mon Premier Galop watch in white gold set with 82 diamonds beats to the rhythm of the Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement.

Its steel case featuring asymmetrical lugs and a gem-set crown is adorned with 70 diamonds using a cut-down setting technique that highlights the diamonds’ many facets.

This setting frames a celestial dial that captures the gaze and propels it into a star-studded night sky. In a play on chiaroscuro effects, the textured mother-of-pearl reveals its nuances and reliefs in shades of blue lacquer. The Cape Cod Chaîne d’ancre watch smoothly and casually transitions from one style to the next. Its iconic links intertwine on a striated dial, coated with Glycine or blue lacquer.

The distinctive and impertinent Cape Cod watch was born in 1991 from the unbridled pencil strokes of Henri d'Origny. The designer had intended it to be a square watch, but it turned out to be "a square in a rectangle". With its pure lines and bold spirit, the Cape Cod shakes up existing aesthetic codes. Its original case composed of two "anchor chain" half-links plays with the emblematic motif created by Robert Dumas in 1938: a design inspired by a boat chain, which has become a brand style signature.

Displaying the innate ease of a timeless icon, the Cape Cod watch finds its way through the years with a light-hearted attitude, freely and joyfully undergoing successive transformations. Two new feminine gemset or non-set models interpret the double chain on a graphic dial in shades of Glycine or blue.

The intertwined links stand out against a background of stamped horizontal lines, all coated in tinted lacquer and swept over by fine baton-type hands. Crafted in the Hermès Horloger workshops, an alligator or calfskin strap accentuates the soft dusty shades of these contemporary and elegant creations.

Its pluralistic nature is expressed through a play on shapes and materials. Careful attention to detail and accurate operations shape a look that is as sporty as it is elegant. The vitality and sensuality of its lines reveal a singular aesthetic featuring a circular dial with an original font, housed in a square case with softened edges.

Designed by Philippe Delhotal, Creative Director of Hermès Horloger, the Hermès H08 watch mingles texture and minerality, deep hues and colourful touches, uncluttered and geometrical lines, along with a matt or shiny appearance. This recent signature is now enriched by a model combining gold and titanium.

Crafted in a sturdy and light alloy, the cushion-shaped case of the Hermès H08 watch is composed of a black DLC-treated titanium case-back topped by a rose gold case middle. This play on opposites is enhanced by a black ceramic bezel and crown.

Alternating satin-brushed and polished finishes, this two-tone case highlights the depth of the blackened, finely grained dial against which luminescent golden hands and Arabic numerals stand out in perfect clarity. The central minutes disc and the seconds hand are treated in black nickel, while the date appears in a cushion-shaped aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock.
