Only Watch since the beginning and donated to all seven editions. The proceeds of the auction go to fund research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a degenerative condition with genetic causes that affects thousands of children and young adults worldwide. In recent years
Only Watch has spearheaded fundraising efforts to fight the condition.

2019,
Jaquet Droz has chosen to donate an exclusive variation of its new G
rande Seconde Skelet-One Ceramic — a piece that marks a watershed in the centuries-old history of the
Grande Seconde. In this one-of-a-kind edition, the rail-track, the gold hour, minute and seconds hands, and the rolled-edge hand-made strap are all reinterpreted in red.

Contrasting with the black ceramic of the case and hour ring, red has
been chosen as the color of love — and the flag of Monaco, where the
charity is based. The
Only Watch traveling exhibition will visit
no less than 10 cities next fall, affording collectors from around the
world an opportunity to admire this one-of-a-kind timepiece, the
Grande Seconde Skelet-One Ceramic for
Only Watch.

This exceptional and unparalleled project supports the battle against a devastating myopathy that affects
1 in
3000 male births on the planet by funding research.
It is expected, this year again, to become the most talked-about topic in the watchmaking industry.

50 one-of-a-kind
timepieces will be auctioned at the
Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues at 2
pm (UTC+1).

Since its creation in
2005,
ONLY WATCH has raised over
CHF40 million.
Again, 100% of the proceeds achieved with the 8th edition of the
charity auction will be directly invested in scientific and medical
research on neuromuscular diseases in general and on Duchenne muscular
dystrophy in particular. An achievement made possible by to the generous
donation and participation of the
52 watch brands, the partners
offering a variety of services and logistical support, the media
offering substantial coverage and, of course, the auctioneer,
Christie’s.
