In 2026, the 42 mm model is available in two versions: with either a deep blue or teak-brown dial, echoing the boats lovingly preserved by the Riva Historical Society. Each piece features a Manufacture GMT function and is limited to just 888 pieces per dial colour.

This is one of Frederique Constant’s most eagerly awaited collector’s pieces. It has enjoyed the privilege of a consistent release schedule since 2013, when the Geneva-based Manufacture and the Riva Historical Society first began their partnership.

Every two years, the Maison unveils a limited-edition timepiece in tribute to these legendary boats, whilst also supporting their preservation. The collection, which has seen many interpretations over the years, continues to reinvent itself with each new release, in step with the Manufacture’s latest technical advances.

It is also its Manufacture character that will make the 2026 edition of the Classics Runabout so appealing to collectors, as both of these limited-year versions are equipped with a Manufacture GMT module. The Classics Runabout Automatic GMT is therefore a dual-complication collector’s piece, featuring a date display at 6 o’clock and a GMT hand tipped with a luminescent arrow.

Integrating an in-house complication based on the FC350 base movement into the Runabout collection brings genuine added value for collectors, combining the reliability of a tried-and-tested calibre with the beauty of a Manufacture complication, resulting in a positioning that remains highly competitive — embodying the spirit of fine watchmaking made accessible, the founding mission of Frederique Constant.

At their centre, the dials feature a satin-finished surface with vertical stripes, representing the foredeck of the boats preserved by the Riva Historical Society, where each teak plank is hand-fitted to create the perfect sundeck for enjoying the gentle waters of the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas, or tranquil transalpine lakes.

The navy bluetones naturally evoke deep waters, while the brown variant elegantly conveys the warmth of teak wood.

Three concentric circles complete the display of the new Classics Runabout Automatic GMT. At the centre lies the 24-hour indication for the second time zone, or GMT. This choice of display removes the need for a day/night indicator, thereby enhancing the dial’s legibility, with the complication blending seamlessly into the design.

 The minute track alternates between applied, luminescent Arabic numerals with slender baton-style indexes, rendered in a subtly vintage font in keeping with the institution that is the Riva Historical Society. The outermost circle, flush with the case, counts seconds as they drift by on the water.

With a 38-hour power reserve, the automatic movement showcases its vertical Côtes de Genève finishing on the bridges and oscillating weight through a delicately smoked sapphire caseback, where the white logo of the Riva Historical Society seems to float like a pennant in the transalpine wind.

Each piece, engraved with “Limited Edition one of 888”, is presented in a box containing a miniature replica of one of these legendary boats, moored alongside the watch.

The Geneva-based manufacturer Frédérique Constant joins forces once again with Spanish artist Felipao to unveil their second collaboration: the Classics Carrée Felipao – Blush Edition.

The piece is defined by a single motif, the straight line, and a single colour, fuchsia pink, and is accompanied by a star-shaped keyring. This radiant and uplifting original creation celebrates women in all their roles – as mothers, wives, partners, friends and sisters.

Three years may have passed since their last collaboration, but the creative partnership between Frédérique Constant and Spanish artist Felipao continues to thrive. Their first collaboration in 2023 embraced a distinctly masculine spirit, centred around the Highlife Automatic COSC, but repeating that formula was never an option. For their next chapter, Frédérique Constant and Felipao turned toward a wholly feminine vision, giving rise to the Carrée Felipao – Blush Edition.

Granted full creative freedom, Felipao set aside soft, familiar pastels in favour of a joyful and optimistic fuchsia pink. The Classics Carrée Felipao – Blush Edition is an expression of freedom, independence and joy. Its dial is constructed from a series of nested squares, enhanced by a subtle interplay of grained and sunray finishes across two tiers.

This creates a kaleidoscopic effect on the dial, naturally drawing the eye to its centre, where the hours and minutes unfold. Two hands, nothing more. Felipao opted for a pared-back design that gives pride of place to colour and texture, in keeping with his own artistic style.

There is no seconds hand, no date. The Classics Carrée Felipao – Blush Edition keeps things simple. Yet, at 12 o’clock, a star-shaped appliqué serves as a subtle reminder that every woman is a star. Eleven aquamarine Swarovski crystal hour markers complete the constellation.

 ABOUT FELIPAO

Felipao is the artist’s name of Felipe Garcia-Bañon Sanz-Briz. Born in Madrid and son of a diplomat, he has lived halfway around the world. This cosmopolitan life and the exposure to different cultures have allowed him to have a multifaceted vision of the world.

Throughout these years he has exhibited collectively and individually in Germany, the United States, Hong Kong, Mexico and the United Kingdom. In 2022 in Guadamur (Toledo) he has installed his first sculpture on the public road. His works are in important private collections.

His Menina has been chosen as an institutional gift from the Community of Madrid to be given to illustrious visitors and as an award at the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute awards in New York.  Similarly, one of his sculptures has been selected by the Spanish Football League as a gift to the 1,100 first and second division players in the 2022-2023 season.

This striking new model is the first Highlife to feature a Frederique Constant Manufacture Moonphase, the first to come with an integrated five-link bracelet, and the first Frederique Constant watch ever to have a dial without hour markers.

At the centre of the piece sits a natural onyx stone dial, polished to create a seemingly infinite surface – a deep, liquid black that absorbs light like the midnight sky. Suspended in darkness against this cosmic backdrop, the silvery disc of the moon – complete with craters – glows with hyperrealist texture and detail.

Like so many sparks across the void, subtle flashes of red mark out the 31st day of the month and the ‘GENEVE’ lettering beneath the brandmark, setting the composition aflame. The whole forms a dial that’s both poetic and precise – and a timepiece that captures the quiet theatre of the night sky.

Presented in a 39-millimetre stainless steel case that’s water resistant to 10ATM, the Highlife Moonphase Date Manufacture – Onyx Moon features the collection’s signature integrated design, reimagined for the first time to include a five-link bracelet that adds a refined, tactile dimension. The quick-release system enables the wearer to switch effortlessly between the bracelet, a black rubber strap and the calf leather strap with nubuck finishing (both also included), thus offering three personalities – elegant, sporty and everyday – in one watch.

In another first, the FC-716 Manufacture automatic movement has been chosen as the beating heart of this Highlife watch. Developed and assembled entirely in-house, it boasts an improved and truly impressive 72-hour power reserve thanks to a new mainspring alloy and a redesigned barrel. The date and moonphase displays offset each other perfectly at six o’clock, while the pad-printed moon features a realistic surface. Amazingly enough, all the functions are adjusted via the crown. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the Côtes de Genève and perlage finishings reveal the meticulous craftsmanship of Frederique Constant’s Geneva atelier.
