The DS Podium is a classic Certina sports watch. In its newest incarnation it enriches the collection with an especially contemporary look: the 44 mm stainless steel case frames a grey dial enhanced with a sunburst finish.

Generously sized numerals and hour markers, the hands and the elegant borders of the chronograph counters set accents in red gold. Distinctive pushers flank the screw-down and protected crown. A dark brown calfskin strap with crocodile imprint and butterfly closure ensures a secure fit on the wrist.

The automatic movement with a power reserve of approximately 42 hours is easily visible through the glass case back.  Its innovative Nivachron™ balance spring offers secure protection against the ubiquitous magnetic fields of modern life.

The Swiss Made movement is a reliable driver of the watch's various functions: hours, minutes, small seconds and date displays along with a 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock and a 6-hour counter at 6 o'clock.  The displays are enhanced by a tachometric scale on the bezel, which serves to determine an average speed.

Two additional variants are available in the new look: a stainless steel version with a black dial and a red gold PVD model with a silver-coloured dial.
