Since 1944, the Ocean Star collection has epitomised MIDO’s legendary expertise in water resistance. In 1930, the brand was a pioneer with its Aquadura system and was then dubbed the “King of Waterproof Watches” in the 1980s.

With white Super-LumiNova® in the centre groove of the hour and minute hands, on the tip of the second hand, and on the dots on the indexes, the time can be read at a glance, even in the darkest conditions. The day and date display in a double window at 3 o’clock provides precious information for globetrotters. The “glassbox” type sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, ensures optimum readability.

Paired with a “Bund”-style black leather strap, in tribute to the pilots of days gone by, this Ocean Star Worldtimer is surprisingly versatile. This two-part strap gives the wearer a number of different options: the plain strap, in black leather with red stitching, and a sportier option featuring a lining sewn with white thread.

The three-level metal dial, magnified by the curvature of the sapphire crystal, features a deliberately aged finish obtained through a manual oxidation process.
